Not a Very Wii Christmas

So I am currently putting my preorders in place for this coming Q4. I was looking what the little Nintendo console had to offer and I have to say I am mightily disappointed. Not one game tickles my interest in the slightest. Admittedly I haven't been following this years releases as close as in years past so I am willing and hoping to be told that I am misinformed.

What are Wii fans getting this holiday season?

not much i see from nintendo itself though i'm interested in Sam & Max Season 1, Tales of Symphonia 2, Animal Crossing and Star Wars The Clone Wars. although with warhammer online out i don't think i'll have much time for any.

Those are pretty much the only two Wii games I'm getting. I'm also getting a 360 to compliment my Wii because I really just want Prince of Persia and I don't want to pay more for a PS3 if the game is offered on a console that is cheaper and is probably better because it's being built off of a 360 dev kit.

It's ok, people who only own a Wii apparently play the "hardware sales" game........that way in their mind they never lose.

but to answer the orignal question, no there is not one game (outside of multiplats) that looks like you have to buy it. People try to pretend with titles like Deady Creatures or Starwars Clone Wars are the "great" games for the Wii. Why sheep just can't admit their software lineup is the worst ever seen during a holiday season is beyond me.

Its a good thing I don't play strictly AAA rated games then huh? Scores are useless. Right now I'm playing force unleashed and enjoying it more then a 7.5, big whoop!

A psychic? You don't need to have special powers to understand what an awful lineup the Wii has. Though as long as the person is interested in the games, that is all that matters.

I really don't see what the big deal about AAA games is. I mean NG2 got an 8 I believe and people still loved it, Devil May Cry isn't AAA and I bet 360 fans are still playing it alot.

To be honest, it's not that there won't be any AAA games for the Wii, it's the fact there is not one sheep who is willing to HYPE any of the games coming out. Some might enjoy a few of the games but you know there is some serious issues when you can't name one game to hype.

For me I am getting de Blob, Mushroom Men, and TofS 2 there a couple more I want but that may be all I can afford expect maybe Animal Crossing

For my son I will be getting him the new Carnival Games and Bloom Blox "I know this is already out but he wants it for Christmas"

IMO because this is system wars the system which I may not get any games for this holiday is my PS3. There nothing coming out I care for. Even though I will keep an eye on LBP but I will wait for reviews first.

There has been a pretty lackluster lineup for all of the systems lately. I just hope people are able to find games that interest them, regardless of system. The Wii does have some upcoming games with potential, but potential gets squandered all the time, regardless of system. I love my Wii for the games that try to be different. I haven't played Zelda since LttP, never cared much for Mario, and Animal Crossing/Harvest Moon both seem dreadfully boring.

To be honest, it's not that there won't be any AAA games for the Wii, it's the fact there is not one sheep who is willing to HYPE any of the games coming out. Some might enjoy a few of the games but you know there is some serious issues when you can't name one game to hype.

Why would they do that? If any of them do, then you get rabid fanboys from the other factions jumping on them for their game tastes and choices. This place is overruning with Wii haters. No point in doing that when all you get are "LOLLZ @ THOSE GAMES".

Sheep are known for not hyping their games much. Only game they've hyped alot as SMG and maybe Smash Bros. but Sheep are not like Lemmings, Cows or Hermits for that matter, they quietly follow their games until they can play them that's it.

Wii lineup is pretty barren for the next couple of months though.

why does everyone write off games before they are even released/rated? we all have no idea what any of the wii games coming out this fall will be like. they could be good. they could suck. they could be A. they could be AAA. all this speculation about ratings is pretty pointless, since the opinions of the reviewers differ.redmetal86

Who cares if it has AAA games or not. AA and A games can be enjoyed just as much by someone as an AAA game.

The games on Wii are all new IPs and exclusives I want. This is exactly what I wanted from the Wii. I dont want to share multiplats that are on the PS3/360. If I want those games, I'll get one of those consoles.

wow, thats a whole crock of mediocrity, the reason no ones lists games like this fir the ps3 and 360 is because no one cares about games like these, they are epitimy of 'meh' the very definition of lukewarm. more games of this standart come out in a month for the ps3/360/pc not the whole holiday season.

there is nothing to go WOW i want that! at because its all gona score 8.0 or below most probably 7.0 or under. not that i just go by scores but there are the standard of games that the wii is getting.

I would take about 5 or 6 off that list but after that I would rather play that lineup of games over the 360 and PS3 put together.

Expect DDR U3 on the 360 that is the game which I am most looking forward to this holiday
