Not alot of people give Nintendo credit for this... Why?

I'd rather have a fantastic linear gameplay experience that's smooth as silk and entertaining than an open world fiasco anyday. I'll take graphics with style and charm over realism "you can count the whiskers on that dudes face" graphics anyday.If I want realism and whiskers I'll look in the mirror. AND I HATE VOICE ACTING. And that's why Nintendo is where it's at. For me, anyway.

Because they do not push the envelope techincally. It's easy to make a bug free game that is 1 to 2 generations behind in technology.

What about the N64 and GC era where their consoles were on par to slightly technologically superior over the competition?
