Actually, no, it isn't. In ever respect, new games are better than old games. The graphics, sounds, physics, and stories of the new games are superior to that of the ones from the golden days. What makes games like SM seem so special and amazing in our minds are the fodn memories we have of playing it back in the day, aka 'nostalgia'.

Not really, most retro games are unplayable trash by todays standards, not all but most. Take of the retro rose tinted glasses, it really wasn't that good.

If old games were and are the end all be all of gaming, why does it continue to exist and evolve? If GoldenEye was the best shooter on colsoles, why did it evolve past there?
