LOL I just realized in my household I have a PS3 controller, Xbox 360 controller, mouse and keyboard, PSP and DS.
At first I liked keyboard and mouse, but I'm left handed... it feels sorta weird. But I didnt notice that till I had played consoles, and now it's hard to go back. DS3 is nice and light, unlike 360 controller. It's really cold, eh?
I prefer the layout of the PS3 controller for the same reasons as TC, but the 360s triggers kill the PS3s. Overall, PS3s is better. Having sixaxis is helpfull in alot of games. I was playing super rub dub today and it was fun.
Your hands must be really girly, because my hands are a perfect fit for PS3 and they're bigger than most hands. If your a little girl or just have girly hands i can see why the PS3 controller might be better. For manly men like myself the 360 is the perfect fit.
If you disagree I'd also like to point out the 360 has triggers..like on a gun. Where as the PS3 has flappy annoying pads not like a gun and thus not good for fps.

Is this argument even necessarry? It just depends how well it fits in indivisual's hands, and as far as I know, No one has exactly the same shape of hands. I personally prefer Xbox 360's controller, because it's more comfortable in my hands. PS3 controller's thumbsitcks are too low for my thumbs, so I have to kind of stretch it, I can't hold it for more than half an hour without fingers hurting. Plus, I just love the white 360, love it a lot over black.
But then again, that's personal taste, why bother arguing over and controller/trying to convince others which one is better? It's no use.
I agree, why debate, but this is true with most of the arguments in SW.No idea why the hate for PS3 controller. They really ought to release a bigger controller or something.
I am fine with DS3 but I love the 360 controller. Indented Analog Sticks is genius, and I like the bumpers better.
The crappy dpad and battery consumption is a turn off though.
PS2>360>PS3 controller

^This. The Ps3's controller feels like a cheap plasticy-plastic compared to the Ps2's. And sometimes the triggers are easy to slip off of.
I used to think that the 360 controller was better for FPS games because i had never played a FPS on a ps3 controller. Then i went to my friends house and tried COD:WaW and it was VERY nice. I had never played that gamebefore and after just a couple of minutes i was already better than the people i played against who had been playing it for a long time. I like the PS3 controller better for FPS games now. I also like the D-Pad for playing games like Crash Bandicoot, not the analog stick.
Opinions can't be true or false.
On to my opinion. The 360 controller is great for me. I hear people say the D-Pad sucks but I never use it. Even in fighters I use the joystick. Only time I ever use the D-Pad is for claymoars, UAV, Menu nav, and weapon swap in gears.
The Xbox 360 controller is modeled so that your left thumb falls on the Left Thumbstick, and your right thumb falls on the face buttons. Because these are the most used inputs on a gamepad for most games, this makes the 360 superior in that regard. To me, the PS3's thumbsticks feel odd. It's like my left thumb doesn't want to be on the thumbstick.
However, the PS3 controller has an excellent D-Pad, causing it to be better for fighting games. However, in the end it usually comes down to personal preference. If you are used to the 360 controller, then you will like it more; if you are used to the Playstation controller, then you will like it more.
Meh, I think they are both better at certain things. My main problem is that the 360 controller fits your hand TO well. So for me anyways after like a half hour of playing the heat builds up and my hands feel like they are in an oven. Ps3 has much more airflow around the hands since they dont fit it completly.
Here's what I think,
DS3:
Analogue sticks(and placement)
D-Pad
Face buttons(just looks better)
360:
Triggers
Comfort
Beyond that, both controllers are pretty similar.
I couldn't even tell you the last time I've used a d-pad. Even in fighting games I find myself going with the analog. :|the 360's d-pad is bad, really bad. the ps3's much better, but again the analog sticks and triggers are better on the 360's. I remember playing ps2 games and my thumbs just slipped out of them >.< instead on the 360 controller you got more grip, somehow

the stick placement is PERFECT on 360 controller imo + the trigger buttons are awesome and 360 controller has more weight and actually feels like im holding something unlike ps3 controller which feels like im holding some weak plastic which will break any second
i have both consoles the ps3 and the 360, and time and time again i hear ppl (mainly 360 owners) saying that the 360 controller is better for fps, but to me i like that the ps3 analog sticks are close together and at the same level, to me its awkward that the 360 controller has one stick higher than the other, for me its more balanced having them at the same level and close together like the ps3 controller, so for me its better, now go on...... start hating.........kingmanbroskyIt's all preference. You're not right, they're not right.
For myself and I am talking on the broad specturm of the games I play for both the 360 and PS3 I feel that the PS3 for me is the better joypad. It is all about the lay in the hand how you're hand feels after a good gaming session. I dont feel any crampness or need to put the pad down for the PS3 where with the xbox one it feels a bit more chunky.
However the one thing I do dislike for the PS3 is the stupid L & R 2 triggers they don't feel as good as the 360 or PS2 ones, however I can live with it.
I like the 360 controller better. The analog sticks have more resistance when you push them and the triggers are far better. The DS3 feels like the analog sticks are broken (they are too loose) and the L2/R2 triggers are stupidly sloped so in the middle of long gaming sessions my fingers slip off them all the time. I bought real triggers and they work really well, but overrall I think the DS3 is badly designed. But that's what happens when you have to slap together a controller in the limited amount of time they had. It makes me wonder what the boomerang would have been like.
I am the exact opposite. I can't use the DS3 for long periods of time, my wrists start to cramp up.For myself and I am talking on the broad specturm of the games I play for both the 360 and PS3 I feel that the PS3 for me is the better joypad. I can play with the analog sticks either way, just switching between them takes a few minutes to get used to. I always hated the RB and LB buttons on the 360 controller though, it always felt uncomfortable using them.
360 and PS3 controllers are about equal. I don't mind either unless it's a fighter.
Now the original Xbox controller was horrible. It made me miss the Dreamcast controller.

People just have different preferences, get over it. personally I prefer the 360 controller. IMO it's the best controller I've ever used.
