nothing has impressed me at all on the ps3, to this date. whats taking so long?

well its too bad we all know that just isn't true :) we had oblivion, dead rising, and quite a few other great games about now.

i think ive owned my ps3 for about six month now. the only thing ive played is mk 2. thats it. everything else is horrible. whats the problem are we gonna see some games this year or what.?F1sTDaCuffS

What are you asking us for?

The only logical answer I can give you is that the console is going to be around for 8-10 years. It is reasonable to expect droughts on ANY console and perhaps the PS3 drought is right at the start of its life. Far from a good start, but they could easily make up for it, just like the 360 could have a massive drought for most of next year. All consoles have droughts and it is totally unreasonable to suddenly turn on ANY console because of a game drought.

You say nothing has impressed you...then why did you buy the console in the first place? Clearly there was SOME appeal. Focus on that.

This is why I bought a Wii (price) and why I love my PS2 which still gets plenty of support. I have tons of new games to play and can sit and wait for the 360 to drop in price or more PS3 games to come out before making that decision.

sorry bud but the days of consoles being around for 8-10 years are gone, and hardly ever existed.

MS has said that their next console is due in 2008-2009. 2010 at the latest. Sony will then have to deal with a shiny new console with better hardware just about the time they'll start to feel comfortable with the PS3 sales :)

ok, im being totally honest here and not trying to take a stab at the PS3 --- but OMFG does it collect dust like a maniac, it's like it's super charged with static or something. i still dust it with everything else every week but it always has soooo much on it that it looks like its a different color, lol.

It's your problem. I own Resistance, Motorstorm, and Fight Night 3 and they all look and play great. Also, I hear Oblivion and Virtua Fighter 5 are both great looking and great playing games as well. Why don't you look into them instead of whining like a little baby?

Also, have you noticed Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Heavenly Sword, Lair, Warhawk, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, UT3, etc?

Yeah, i pretty much feel the same way. This has been a very dissappointing console , in more ways than one. But i fully expect some spectacular single player games by the end of summer and the rest of the year. I have given up all hope of PSN ever delivering a great online experience though....but thats why i have a 360 and LIVE.

Want to be impressed get RFOM/VF5/Fightnight/Warhawk when it released soon.
