The combination of these two developers will be deadly, maybe even greater than Nintendo and Rare.

They make up for eachothers shortcomings very nicely.

I was pleasently suprised by this announcement. This and SMG 2 are gonna be epic, too bad that's about it.

I'm happy with Wii. I want this new Mtroid so freaking bad. It looks amazing.

Plus I want Super Mario Galaxy 2, which is the sequel to the best game this gen, imo.

And those are in 2010, but this year I want like 10 3rd party games and also New Super Mario Bros Wii.

If its like Super Metroid or Metroid Prime, people will complain that its a rehash. If Nintendo tries something new, people will still complain. Personally I have high hopes that this game will be great. I hope we get more info on it later this week.

3rd person metroid is the only way to play metroid. The fps metroids are all crap imo. Im real old school.. "87" for life metroid!!!

the interview with 1up suggests that nintendo is actually doing a lot of overseeing and team ninja is pretty much just the coding team (similar to nintendo and game arts when they made smash bros brawl)

I must say I like the approch of this game. I think some metroid fans will be mad cause it doesint seem to have the exploration angel to it. I just wanna play it already.

This is was such a freakin awesome announcement. The prime series alienated me completely from a character I absolutely loved to play with in the smash brothers games--I enjoyed playing some of the SNES games based on it back then too. I hope they succeed with this direction they're taking since this is definitely more up my alley.
