Ah ban dodgers make themselves so obvious these days.
I'm not sure if NYCBurton or Chris Hanson is Keywii's latest incarnation, maybe its both!
It's not the DVD9. It's the processor. It's not as powerful as the Cell.Sexy_FFVII
its called optimization by the developers buddy... Just because a game dips in framerate doesnt mean its because of the limitations of the processor... A graphically poor game like Blazing Angels has framerate dips, that doesnt mean the processor cant handle those "amazing" graphics
I notice when I play Annex on a intense map like Raven down where its constant action, I notice there is a big dip in the frame rate and there is noticeable slow down. I really havent noticed it before because I never really played annex on raven down i am starting to notice it in other smaller maps like escalation but it only happens when playing Annex, I think its because there is just so much action happening at one time and that really worries me, I mean if Gears has frame rate problems with only 8 people total on screen, the 360's future game lineup really has me worried and I think the slowdown is due to DVD9. BrutonNYC
rofl yeah because frame rate has to do with the size of a disc.
Also Raven down is a downloadable map so what the heck does that have to do with anything about the storage medium for Xbox 360's games?
Anyway if your getting framerate problems its most likely your 360 is messed up cause I havnt had any problems at all even when everyone is in a group and like over half the place explodes taking everyone with it.

why would that have anything to do with DVD9? The data is already loaded onto the console for multiplayer.

The fact Annex is an update which means is on the hard drive is amazing. I didn't know it was because the lack of space on the disk. You are so smart.
It is clear this guy who started this thread is trying to start crap.
He doesn't even know what he is talking about at all. Annex is a download to the harddrive. Either you are not well informed or simply have issue that noone but a professional will be able to assist you with.
I think Gears having slow down here and there is more due to the fact that Gears was a First gen 360 title. I know that's very scary to all the Cows out there but its true. Gears was being working on when they first announced the 360.
the Cow says MooooooooooOuch!

BrutonNYCNope its not DVD9 that does it, its the quality of the plastic in the outer shell that kills your framerates. My 360 is matte finish on the outside and the lack of shine bogs down the framerates.

BrutonNYCDVD9 doesn't affect frame rate.
