Now I wish they had shown more of assassins creed before!

Because after watching the gametrailers review I learned some things about the game....

- VERY repetitive

- Horrible A.I

- Clipping and pop up issues

- Boring combat + dumb A.I

- No replay value

- Freerunning is the best part

- Animations are nice

- Story is good

Yup thats all, I don't think im going to go buy this today after all, when I could just get CoD4 for the same price.

That said, AC is still one of the better games of the year, if only for being relentlessly ambitious. I'm sure it's fun as hell, too.

The combat system wouldn't work at all in that case. They had to sacrifice a little realism for it.

Precisely. Almost all trailers look good for games but the more experience you have playing similar genres and the more you investigate the game(gameplay vids, previews etc.) the better you get at judging these trailers.

They did at E3 but we all wanted to believe that it was nothing more than a early build.....Guess we were wrong

Makes me think of two movies that I saw when I was younger.

Kangaroo Jack, and Snow Dogs.

Both movies contained a dream sequence where the kangaroo or the dogs respectively were talking.

So obviously 90% of the trailers for both movies came from part of these dream sequences.

It's a real pain when advertising only shows the best side of a game. Still, I'll reserve judgement until I see more of it.

It was a few weeks ago that it dawned on me that this might not be as good as it looks.

I mean, I love sandbox games. I love being able to go anywhere and even mess around if I want. But like with GTA, I think I might get bored with this. Though the mission details may vary, the missions are the same. Once you'ce done a coupe, you've done them all.

We'll see. This will be a definite rental for me until I see otherwise.

And yeah false advertising to the max.

But Assassins Creed did nothing like that. Unless you count the twist in the story...but that doesn't negate what you do in the game. The fact that it may be repetative well...whose going to advertise that?

Game characters need to lighten up. .

I'm a tad dissapointed as well. I mean the AI reactions to the blend in situations and finding "suspects" is just dumb. Brings me back to the early days of stealth: Huh? Who did that? *a guy sitting 2cm infront of you* Must be my imagination.

It killed the game in some ways for me...which I dispise since I really reeally wanted this game to live up to it's potential. I knew they should have delayed it a bit further to tweak those things.

If you are purchasing COD 4 for the multiplayer experience, then I suggest you buy it because the game if fun online and will last longer. If you are not going online, then don't waist your money because the single player experience is "underwhelming" to say the least.

Assassins Creed will give you more mileage and its probably more enjoyable as a single player experience. However, based on general consensus, I would pick Mass Effect over Assassin's Creed. For me, Assassin's Creed is nothing more than a rental and I'll finish it in a week.

The story sucks, the controls have some issues, the combat gets repetitive, the AI sucks. Basically the game is a flop
