[QUOTE="AAllxxjjnn"][QUOTE="Chutebox"] Well for me neither of those games, or any games since FF7 can compare to it. I know you dislike it though lol.TheGrat1
Never said i disliked it, what i've said is it doesn't deserve all the praise and perfect(prime) ratings it gets. What did it do to put it's self so far ahead of any game sincce FF7? Excellent controls, great graphics, superb music, top notch directing, an epic story arc, strong voice acting, and a powerful narrative. And all of this wrapped into one of the most varied single player campaigns ever producing a satisfying conclusion to a 20 year old saga. Yeah, I think that about sums it up.-Controls are clunky and poor compared to other TPS game.
-Cover system is complete trash,
-Graphics were subpar aside from character models,
-Direction was far was from top notch: watch movies if you want to see good direction,
-story is full of deus ex machinas, plot holes, bad and redundant dialog,
-voice acting is not strong. -Powerful narrative overshadows gameplay.
-Stealth gameplay isn't up to genre standards (ie beginning of act III was boring, they could have executed the only forced stealth gameplay much better) -Essentially MGS3 with more refined controls nothing new in this regard ,
-Game is poorly paced because cut scenes tend to overshadow gameplay in the later half of the game.
-Drebin breaks stealth gameplay, you never really need to worry about the silencers losing their effect because you almost always have enough points to buy however many more you need.
-Drebin is also a lazy plot device to feed you overly sappy and depressing back stories to the bosses.
-Boss fights don't hold up to previous games. Much less original. The second part of the boss fight grew tiresome and repetitive.
-Story is too over the top to be taken seriously.
If it is ahead of anything, it's not ahead by much.
