2. Haven't played
3. Great graphics, good story, poor controls
4. Best overall game this generation
5. Gears of war 1.5
6. Good game, not worth the sales
Super Smash Bros Brawl - Overrated and a step back from Melee. Proof that sometimes less is more.
Super Mario Galaxy - Well done and innovative new approach to the king of the platformers!
Killzone 2 - Fantastic. Loved the Solo campaign, the mulitplayer is even better, and it's simply the best looking console game I've seen.
Metal Gear Solid 4 - Epic. Maybe the best game made yet this gen. A fitting end to the series... if it weren't for the inevitable spinoffs and prequels we'll be seeing for years. :(
Gears of War 2 & Halo 3 - Haven't played either, hear lots of praise about GeoW2 from a buddy of mine though.
Super Smash Bros Brawl - Best local multiplayer this gen, i still play this with my friends and cousins and we still have a blast with it.
Super Mario Galaxy - Is one of the greatest games ever made, those stages are awesome, so much fun to play.
Killzone 2 - Haven't play it, in the demo the graphics looks great, but i feel the gameplay kind of meh
Metal Gear Solid 4 - Great, without a doubt one of the greatest games this gen, great story and all, definetely my favorite PS3 game.
Gears of War 2 - Haven't play it
Halo 3 - Haven't play it
Super Smash Bros Brawl: Awesome while it lasted but got old fast.
Super Mario Galaxy: Awesome, plain and simple. I really can't find much fault with this.
Killzone 2: Haven't played anything more than the demo yet so I won't judge.
Metal Gear Solid 4: Amazing, but I wouldn't have given it the 10 it received. It just didn't have enough replay value for me personally.
Gears of War 2: Great. The singleplayer is fun, co op is even better but the adversarial MP is a mixed bag. It's glitchy as hell and the host advantage makes that player insanely overpowered. It's fun when the host is on your side, frustrating at times when they're not.
Halo 3: Amazing and totally undeserving of the hate it receieves around here. Its singleplayer campaign wasn't without its faults but the MP is top notch and sets the standard for a multiplayer FPS on consoles.TheElfChild
Super Smash Bros Brawl - Loved it the first month. Went back to Melee since Melee doesn't have tripping, the items and levels are more balanced, and it's faster paced. A shame too, since Brawl did have a few improvements - just not enough to make up for the crap.
Super Mario Galaxy - Felt like it was more of the same. Camera angles were more of a nuisence than an innovation. Was bored before I got to 60 stars, and quit once I beat the last boss without taking a single hit.
Killzone 2 - I have yet to play this game, but after the whole button lag problem the first month, I'm also not that interested.
Metal Gear Solid 4 - I'm a biased fanboy when it comes to this series. So obviously, the only thing I have to say here is 10/10.
Gears of War 2 - Haven't played it, but if it's anything like the first one, it's worth one playthrough, at least.
Halo 3 - Played the single player campaign for 1/2 a hour and fell asleep. I like the multiplayer, but I've played better FPS games in the past.
SSBB = AWESOME
Halo 3 = Still played game on XBL
Killzone 2 = Cows still hype it
MGS4= Hyped died with the E3 announcement of rising
Gears of war 2= Garbage and overatted
Super Smash Bros Brawl
Super Mario Galaxy
Killzone 2
Metal Gear Solid 4
Gears of War 2
Halo 3TheElfChild
Brawl-okay, a bit too random for my taste
Galaxy-okay but I preferred Sunshine
Killzone 2- never played it :P
MGS4- also never played it
Gears 2- good but gets boring WAY faster then the 1st one
Halo 3- good, is a bit generic though.
Super Smash Bros Brawl
Great multiplayer game, just like the rest of the series. However, because of the Dojo revealing almost all of the best secrets, I was a tad disappointed there. Still play to this day. Online sucked though, but that's ok. Fighting games are better on local multiplayer anyway.
Super Mario Galaxy
I was not overly hyped for this game (bad Mario taste from Sunshine) but this game was nearly perfect to me. Exceeded my expectations in every way. My personal game of the gen so far!
Killzone 2
Again, I didn't really see why it was so hyped, but all my friends switched from CoD4 to this so I picked it up and was quite impressed. It is going to remain my online game until Modern Warfare 2. This was a pleasant surprise for me.
Metal Gear Solid 4
Metal Gear Solid is my favourite game series (did the avatar give it away?) so storywise, this game was somewhat a letdown to me. Though the gameplay and presentation were practically perfect. MGO was not nearly as good as I thought it looked and didn't play much of it. Overall probably one of the best games I have ever bought, but fell slightly short of my unreasonable hype for it.
Gears of War 2
Only played it for like an hour at a friend's house, so I wouldn't say I can build a proper opinion on it, though I thought the first one was overhyped.
Halo 3
It was ok. The campaign was pretty much garbage, but who plays Halo for that? The multiplayer was solid. Even though I am not a fan of twitch-noobfest shooters, I really respect the way Bungie has supported the game so much. I would say the developer is much better than that series and would love to see them make something different because I am not a big Halo fan. It was massively overhyped by the media though.TheElfChild
Also, add Grand Theft Auto 4 and Crysis to the list. Those are two other games that recieved large hype.

Well, since you asked, IMO, ever game in your listed is overrated to high hell. Not to say they are bad but, my life would be better without them. Those games did nothing new and people act like they're the second coming of Jesus. Each one of those games are things I either got tired of or didn't appeal to me.

Super Smash Bros Brawl - Didn't like it as much as melee, but it's still a great multiplayer game.
Super Mario Galaxy - Awesome
Killzone 2 - Played it and was left largely unimpressed.
Metal Gear Solid 4 - Great game. Overated, but I still enjoyed it regardless.
Gears of War 2 - I was dispaointed with GeoW 2, but at the same time it was more or less what I expected. Some of the later levels were a bit meh.
Halo 3 - I wasn't all that impressed with it, but it was still a decent FPS.
Grand Theft Auto 4 -I didn't enjoy it as much as it's predescors, but to be honest it's probably the best in the series. I'm just starting to get more than a little bored with GTA at this point.
Crysis - I tried to play this before but ran into a bunch of issues. I will attempt it again when I upgrade my PC soon.TheElfChild
My opinions (Or lack of.) in red and bold.
EDIT: That's really confusing the way that black becomes white.
Super Smash Bros Brawl - unbalanced, a bit boring. I find myself enjoying Naruto: Clash of Ninja more than this whenever I'm at my cousin's house.
Super Mario Galaxy - solid platformer
Killzone 2 - fundamentally flawed, and it seems to be a work in progress with all these patch as if the game wasn't ready for launch.
Metal Gear Solid 4 - It did not leave me as satisfied as MGS3 did.
Gears of War 2 - overall better than Gears 1, it could use a bit more polish, tho.
Halo 3 - you can't cook grenades nor is there a sprint feature and a few other features that have become a standard in other FPS/TPS games. It feels dated to me gameplay wise, and I'm not really a fanof the whole looking for thebest pick-up item thing, butI do appreciate the shear amount of community content the game offers. It's probably one of the fewer games that gives you more bang for your buck still not my type of game.
Grand Theft Auto 4 - I like the direction Rockstar took with this game(not over-the-top). The thing is, it didn't have as much content asthe other GTA games in the series and the MP was crap.

Super Mario Galaxy - Game of the Year Killzone 2 - Best FPS on PS3 Metal Gear Solid 4 - Best game on PS3 Gears of War 2 - Good sequel. Halo 3 - Still the best Multiplayer this gen. Super Smash Bros. - Still hate it. Bread_or_Decide
R2 online > KZ2 online just sayin'
Super Smash Bros Brawl
Haven't played it and don't want to.
Super Mario Galaxy
Haven't played it.
Killzone 2
A good first person shooter with impressive production values. Also the game to make me realize that I'm really rather tired of first person shooters.
Metal Gear Solid 4
I've never really quite liked the gameplay of these things. Yet for some reason, I've ended up liking them anyway. You never quite know what to expect from Kojima and co, I guess that's why. Crazy **** is bound to transpire. But dear god does he need to work on his storytelling. At times it's literally like listening to a lecture.
Gears of War 2
Boringly great sequel the same way Modern Warfare 2 will be.
Halo 3
I liked the first one and then proceeded to increasingly lose interest with each installment. To be honest the only thing that ever really appealed to me was the vehicle sections. Probably the first developer to have ever managed to make those fun. The physics are just fantastic, and you're not stuck on a rail or restricted to a narrow valley or some bulldoodoo.
Grand Theft Auto IV
One of my favorite games of the generation. The amount of work and detail that has gone into this game is astounding. There are some regrettable flaws, but since I've played the game for like 60 hours I think I've largely forgiven those.
Crysis
Yeah I never really got to play this properly as my PC is having some bizarre hardware issue which makes most games randomly crash, usually within 15 minutes. Most of my time was spent just playing around with physics and whatnot, so I really don't have a clue about what the game proper plays like.
Super Smash Bros Brawl Great game to play when you have friends over. Probably one of the best fighting games available for Wii.
Super Mario Galaxy I must say I really enjoyed playing this much better than it's predecessors. Great game.Killzone 2 Haven't played it
Metal Gear Solid 4 Great game with impressive graphics. I've had more fun playing other games though.
Gears of War 2 I haven't played the campaign mode, so I can't comment on that. The multiplayer is so much fun. The graphics are great.
Halo 3 Haven't played it.
Grand Theft Auto 4 The scale of this game is pretty impressive. I just wish you could do more. I've liked playing the story missions, but after awhile I get bored with missions and start dicking around the city, causing a ruckus.
Crysis Haven't played it. Most impressive graphics in any game I've seen so far.TheElfChild
That's that I think.
Brawl -all-round and almost met the colossal hype train. What made it less than perfect was Subspace, the design of many of the levels, and the erratic online. The stage editor wasn't nearly what I wanted it to be either. But I'm still happily playing it.
Galaxy - just beat out by Mario 64 I reckon. I prefer open-playgrounds and not closed off, linear ones in Galaxy. However, it is still a fantastic game and contains that Nintendo magic.
Gears of War 2- best game on 360. Excusing online play, the local MP is great and the single player is solid. Horde mode is what makes it.
Super Smash Bros Brawl always was poor to me
Super Mario Galaxy same
Killzone 2 never really liked it, the screaming made me want to turn the volume off
Metal Gear Solid 4 never played it but it pisses off lemmings so yay!
Gears of War 2 to many glitches.
Halo 3 pretty good, too much fanboyism and children
Grand Theft Auto 4 ROFL, so screwed up it's awesome
Crysis hell yea, graphics>gameplay eh?TheElfChild
Killzone 2- Meh.. I didn't like the controls and it felt like I was looking through a helmet the whole time..Good production values and certainly an improvement over the first and deserving of it's score. I just wasn't feeling it.
Metal Gear Solid 4-Easily one of the best games this gen, certainly the best presentation. A truly amazing game.
Gears of War 2- Ok. More Gears. Good solid coop.
Halo 3- 4 player on Legendary is probably the most fun coop I've played all gen. Aside from Crackdown and RE 5.
Grand Theft Auto 4-Niko is the man. I loved it.LC is based on my home and was very faithful to New York City. While everyone was trying to emulate San Andreas, they took it to another level.
Crysis- The most technically impressive game I've ever seen. Graphically there is no match and the game is cool as hell. I used to be down on it, but recently it grew on me. (Probably because I have a rig that can play it now)TheElfChild

Super Smash Bros Brawl: Awesome while it lasted but got old fast.
Super Mario Galaxy: Awesome, plain and simple. I really can't find much fault with this.
TheElfChild
Took the words right out of my mouth.
Killzone 2: Delivered in the gritty graphics and explosive action. Writing and storyline were apparently forgotten until the last week of development. :P
Metal Gear Solid 4: Keeps up the quality in terms of cutscenes and boss battles, falls short in gameplay by the second half. the storyline fizzles out with a ridiculous M. Night Shamylan-esque plot twist. (worse actually)
Gears of War 2: A good sequel with plenty of gory action and improved weapons. Boss battles are laughable.
Halo 3: Improves fairly well on Halo's organic combat sty/e, but the game is effectively over by the last two levels with nothing but a flood-grind to look forward to. Mulitplayer rises above nearly all else with constant support and updates.
Grand Theft Auto 4: a slightly smaller city jam packed with detail and realistic inhabitants. Ditches the options from San Andreas such as appearance/car customization, weapon-skill building, property buying, etc, and the game has the least replay value in the end. Has the best cutscenes in the series up to this point, but the dark and realistic storyline gets screwed up just in time for the last mission.
Super Smash Bros Brawl - Hated it. They took out everything that made Melee great. Except the addition of Metaknight.
Super Mario Galaxy - Never played it. Can't say.
Killzone 2 - Pretty solid. Ranks pretty far up on my shooters list, although I'm just not a big fan of FPS's. Why? It doesn't have aliens and space marines. Those got old after Halo.
Metal Gear Solid 4 - Considering I've never played any MGS before this, I was somewhat apprehensive of it in the beginning with the huge mess of a story. I got to really like it though. One of my top games.
Gears of War 2 - no 360. But er... Aliens and space marines. lol. Dunno. I might change my mind if I ever get a couple of hours on it.
Halo 3 - I liked the first two. They were solid, story-driven FPS's, which was a good surprise. This is one of the games I wish I had a 360 to play.
Grand Theft Auto 4 - ...Never liked the GTA series. I doubt I'd like this one, seeing that I've tried every one before it and really WANTED to like them, but didn't.
Crysis - Graphical powerhouse. Yeah. I get it. But... aliens. WHY? D: I liked the parts when it was still people you were fighting though.

Try playing MGS4 on Big Boss extreme mode. Now that's frustration.Super Smash Bros Brawl: Have yet to play it. SOON though!
Super Mario Galaxy: Have yet to play it. SOON though!
Killzone 2: Pretty decent FPS. Great graphics for a console game and excellent MP.
Metal Gear Solid 4: The best game this gen IMO. I've played this about 3 times already.
Gears of War 2: Badass blood filled game with an addicting multiplayer. Great graphics as well.
Halo 3: This is a great game. Not better than Halo: CE, but it does live up to the Halo name. Great MP.
Grand Theft Auto 4: I got bored of this game in an instant. GTA: San Andreas was better than this crap.
Crysis: Haven't played this game. I doubt I ever will.
