And for the record, here is what I have with my 360:
XBOX 360 Premium.
That's it. I've spent a total of $400 for my XBOX 360. Had I gotten a PS3, I'd have spent $600 for two features I would probably end up using just so I didn't waste the extra $200.
But you know what? I can be obnoxious too:
XBOX 360 Premium w/ Two Games: $350
--------------------------------------
PS3 - $400
Two Games - $89.99
PS2 for BC - $129.99
Memory Card for PS2 to save files - $9.99
--------------------------------------
ZOMG LOOK HOW MUCH MONEY THE PS3 IS 101010100101?!!!
Apathetic-Irony
Well, for the PS3 you say add two games (presumably because the 360 comes with two) but with the 360 the games are pre-selected which is a huge factor!
The whole PS2 and memory card for backward compatibility thing is not a practical concern for most people (most either own a PS2 already and if they didn't, they probably don't care for backward compatibility).
Plus for the 360, you said it's $400 but you didn't add all the stuff from my original post ($100 wireless adaptor, $100 something HD-DVD drive).
I fully admit I am a 360 fanboy and I'm just saying that the major features lean in favour of the PS3 actually being cheaper now.
