Now the Mass Effect 2 is coming to the PS3...

I love how this is suddenly a huge blow to the 360. Before the game didn't even matter because it was also on PC. What happened to that, cows? You guys act like it's as big as Sony losing Final Fantasy.Sooshy

Is it safe to say there is now officially no reason other then halo(which is pretty much dead now that bungie fell in love with the trey) to own a 360?

discuss your feelings on these occuring transitions, and what must microsoft do to keep its fanbase because at this rate the ps3 is coming out with over 50 new exclusives while i think the 360 only has a handful coming out.

PC (far better version of ME1, slightly better version of ME2, mods)

i think it's great for PS3 owners still, but if somebody asked me which platform is definitive for Mass Effect i'd have a hard time recommending the PS3

I dont understand why they would want it, most of them haven't played the other MGS games so they feel no attachment to the story at all. Same reason why ME2 will fail on PS3, because ME1 isnt coming out and PS3 owners will just be thrown into the ME universe without knowing anything about it. The gameplay of ME2 was nothing special, it was all about the characters and story, when I saw Garrus, Liara, Wrex, Ashley etc, I was like OMG awesome. But PS3 owners will not get that feeling.

Also imo while the characters in ME2 are better than 1, ME1 is better in everything else; especially immersion and scale.
