Is this legit? Because in my city both the PS3 and 360 premium were sold out everywhere when GTA4 launched...yet those numbers are terrible for both consoles.

they are legit. MS just before these numbers came out confirmed that they only sold 188,000 units in april

My god!! Another 700000+ month for the wii and this month wii fit comes out. I'm dissapointed with the 360 and PS3 numbers though.

That is NPD data. It's legit.

Both PS3 and 360 did terrible considering GTA IV.

I hope to god MGS4 does at least something more than this for sales figures in June, otehrwise it will be a complete embarrasment.

Also, what is with sales actually DECREASING week over week for the consoles from last month with GTA IV being released? That is just...well Patcher got owned hard is all.

I am going to start a camp that the weakening consumer in the US is now impacting the "expensive" console sales on a noticable scale. Course the Wii is not a console, it is a drug that needs to be regulated by the FDA or even DEA.

Cows? umm, I believe we are all humans here? Unless it some Geeky way of making fun of fans..and GTA4 on the PS3 sold 1 million, thats not bad, Mario Kart only outsold it by 120,000 With the Wiis Huge lead, thats a pretty low attach rate.

360>PS3? wow? who cares? as long as company make money, no one cares, Sony has cut its production costs, so the PS3 isnt hurting them much, and the PS3 can become much cheaper for people to buy.

Well looking at how much they have GtA4 listed as being sold, they didn't take into account May sales.

For 900 more units, id say that $50 million for DLC was very well spent.

very true. so i guess everybody that wanted GTA already got their system of choice so i suppose its not a system seller, which is very shocking. since most of the copies were sold in the first 2 days, i really dont expect a hike in hardware sales this month for 360/ps3. next month is a different story though (MGS4, maybe NG2)

I honestly believe they went beyond murder. I'm still shocked by the low hardware numbers both the 360 and PS3 churned out, they should have been way higher.

On the bright side, it's nice to see two PS3 titles in the Top 10 Software List.

Im thinking that more consoles will be sold in May then in April, seeing as most people might of not gotten GTA 4 right at launch, so they didnt buy the console until they got GTA. EVOLV3

but most of the GTA4 games were sold in the first 2-3 days. so if people bought a system just for that game, we should have already seen a spike in this NPD report

HD consoles need another $100 price drop in the US or they are going to just go stagnant hardware wise. Software there will be no problem (especially for the 360).
