I'm expecting a new nintendo console by the end of 2012. I don't think they plan on releasing much beyond the zelda.

Sadly, I agree. They've given us the most Mario platformers on a single console since the NES. They've given us two Metroids. They just released the best DKC game to date. We got KEY and I think there is another Kirby from a different dev on the way. Unless Nintendo has another Pikmin in the works, or they are tasking Retro with another Metroid game for this gen (which is highly unlikely), I think Skyward Sword is the last big thing.
At least I have a couple of 3rd party titles to look forward to like DQX and TLS if it gets localized, but outside of that the Wii looks spent. This upcoming E3 will be the confirmation I guess.
All in all its been a good run. The Wii had the least amount of games I've enjoyed for a single platform this gen, but at the same time had my favorite titles of the gen as well. Just like the Gamecube and N64 lol.
