don't see it happening I do, I am not sure there will be console's next gen and there definitely won't the gen after that. Eventually will all just be serviced based and playable on nearly any screen containing device. Until then , yes I will continue to buy my Smash Bros/Zelda Box and my Handheld Pokemon machine.

The entire industry will disappear. Some people just want to see the world in flames. Why would it disapear? :$ at this point with the existence of digital distribution, we never ever have to worry about games disappearing ever again :)

3ds has alot more than just pokemon Yes for many it does, for me that's pretty much all I played on my last 3 Nintendo Handhelds. What sheer abuse of the DS. Thanks, and yes I agree I definitely don't take advantage of the games available on the DS. But my lifestyle has basically lead me to no longer really do mobile gaming on anything except my phone/ipad. The Pokemon franchise is simply strong enough to have me sitting at home in front ignoring my 50 inch tv.
When pokemon for the 3DS comes out, I think the world will explode. I'm still refusing to buy the 3DS till the next version of it comes out, (hopefully with the 2nd joystick)

At least you have the strong iOS library. A gamer without a handheld/mobile games library is a sad gamer, for he/she is missing out on too much. Not to shove my opinion down throats or overgeneralize, just me hoping more people try more games regardless of system.
