Nvidia will soon be rolling out driver updates that add G-Sync support to existing FreeSync/Adaptive Sync monitors.

UPDATE: Nvidia will allow you to turn VRR on ANY FreeSync/Adaptive Sync monitor.
Nvidia is only calling it G-Sync on monitors that pass their strict requirements.
Example: Nvidia validates that the monitor can operate in VRR at any game frame rate by supporting a VRR range of at least 2.4:1 (e.g. 60Hz-144Hz). There are a ton of monitors that have a smaller VRR window but work just fine.
