[QUOTE="Nanomage"] You don´t need a Titan, you can build a system that is far superior to a console for less than the price of the Titan. And my system is over 4 and a half years old and it runs Bioshock Infinite max,why are you bringing up the most expensive card in the market when there´s cards in the $200(and lower) range that run everything at high settings but more importantly, much better than any console can,or even less if you don´t care about graphics, wich is exactly what you were saying.II_Seraphim_II
Well, PC gamers always go on about graphics. Isnt that what this entire thread is about? all those charts? arent they about graphics? You telling me in that graph where PC is 2x stronger than consoles Nvidia is talking about their budget card or their best card? And graphics cost money! And lets say you can find a card for $200. Then you need to buy a CPU, PSU, Mobo, case, RAM, and all that other jazz. At the end of the day to get a PC thats decent and can run games at comparable levels to a PS4, it will cost more than $400. And let me be clear about this, just because you have a faster graphics card and all that jazz isnt the end all. PC is highly diverse, so games arent as optimized as they could be, and a sizeable chunk of your PC resources go to running all the other components of the PC (Since a PC isnt a sole gaming machine, it has multiple other functions). So once again, if you built a PC with the same exact specs as a PS4, PS4 would still run games better than that PC because games for it are optimized better (due to a closed environment) and a PS4 wastes less resources on the OS and background functions than does a PC running windows.

According to Crytek, targeting consoles would gain 5 to 10 percent over the PC counterparts.

Ahahah O Lord! Love seeing mindless consolites think that because they have AMD it is suddenly the best!

Really does make my day reading these types of posts :D

I am a fan of neither AMD or Nvidia.

I prefer both to be doing their best to beat each other as it helps the consumer.

I do purchase more from Nvidia though becuase I like the features more with Nvidia Inspector, Physx and usually more reliable driver support.

Nvidia tends to be more expensive but I am willing to pay slightly more for those features and support.

A small overclock will allieviate that problem.

They have been butthurt ever since Sony didn't use them to make their GPU. TheWalkingGhost

As I said earlier in the thread, the margins on console CPU/GPU are vanishingly small. AMD isn't getting rich off of making console hardware. nVidia still controls 2/3 of the market on the PC. Also AMD's market share has been DROPPING the last few years, not rising. I would tend to agree with nVidia's comment that it would have been more trouble than it is worth this gen.

Nvidia drivers good? HA yeah right.  Page 1 of computer hardware discussion, "nvidia latest drivers bricking graphics cards".  With that said, AMD has YET to release any driver that actually bricks a card, while nvidia has a few.  They might not be as fast as nvidia releasing drivers, but when AMD does release their drivers, they are always top quality.  I'll take quality over quantity any day of the week.  Nvidia can stick that where the sun don't shine.

2/3 ?  Its closer to 60/40 split right now, and this always fluctuates with new releases.  Nvidia does have a lead over AMD, that is true, but it doesn't mean anything to the average consumer.  Console manufacturers use AMD, since they offer better value, reliability and good support.  Nvidia is much too greedy and always keeps one hand in the cookie jar.  MS, Sony and Nintendo don't like that.

[QUOTE="jim1174"]PC games will always have something consoles never will and that's mods. lilnazar

Mods are just ruining games to be honest (imo). Also the mods doesn't feel like the feature or whatever was implemented in the game from the start, it feels like a mod. They do not blend together. Sure it's cool to customize the game, but the mods feel plastic.

Mods add more replay value, heck I'm replaying GTA4 thanks to it's mods, I don't see how they're ruining them when they're optional.

Shouldn't the master race have good exclusive games like us?

Davekeeh

Seeing as Reus scored as much as the Last of Us, we do, all the time

This should shut up a lot of ignorant people on these forums.

"bu bu... developers don't care about PC"

"bu  bu... 3 systems combined have more games coming out than PC"

If I had to chose, I would take a good PC over any of the consoles. Good thing that I choose to not make such dumb choices.

HaloinventedFPS

no they shouldn't. Because they would be assholes about it and make them only work on Nvidia cards
