Idk...i would have replaced it with something like....MGS4, yeah why isn't mgs4 on the list? :| mgs4 is one of the best games this year....the list is crap anyways, maybe except for GTAIV beeing nr 1 :P

wow. If it was a misinformed list I would think they would at least put WiiFit on it just cuz.

4 rock band 2 i dunno, it's nothing new*

5 gears of war 2( xb360) arguably the best, if not for the lag issues, matchmaking, etc., anyway the game's awesome

The OP's list is the Time Magazine Top 10 Video Games of 2008 list. It's completely unrelated to anything the New York Times has done.

No list can please everyone, but this one has some odd choices on it.

Hunted Forever is actually a lot of fun, I suggest googling it. People need to recognize NY Times has made this list for the more casual market (or the average reader of the NY times, not the minority hardcore gamer on a gamespot forum). Of course your aren't going to agree, as when they went about making the list they wanted to make sure to include a wide variety of genres, so everyone could find something they'd potentially enjoy on it.

NY Times top 10 is for the casual, broad audience. Obviously the hardcore game will pay more attention to IGN/Gamespots top ten. I don't understand why everyone is so suprised.
