[QUOTE="HappyAppe"]Paying off the National debt will be a priority. This means fewer tax breaks, however it also means less spending from the federal government. There will be no government healthcare, but instead will offer new tax incentives to corporations based on their ability to provide their employees with insurance. Companies who provide poor health insurance will pay higher taxes, which will go directly towards paying off US debtors. As long as we use the Federal Reserve system, it is impossible to pay off the national debt. :|Whatever helps promote people to vote I'm all for.

If people will elect a man as presedent just because they saw his advertisement in a video game then we deserve a horrible next 4 years.Timstuff
Agreed, but we Americans are naturally shallow and easily impressed by subliminal advertizing. If the candidates attempted to advertize themselves through honesty and good faith in the American people, less than 10% of people would be voting.
Dude, I play videogames to GET AWAY from the serious issues in life like politics.
Now he's getting back into my bubble
That's just pathetic -- buying ads within video games? :roll:Stevo_the_gamer
that like saying its stupid for one to advertise during the SuperBowl. Millions play games in America. What he is doing is very smart.

The mess started near the end of Clintons turn. In 1999 pressure was put on Fanny and Freddy to loan out more to more risky borrowers. Hence the world we live in today.
Please tell me that your not trying to blame our economy crisis on ClintonI hate for this to go on a tangent, but he's right, more or less -- however, I do believe it started with Reagan instead of Clinton, but Clinton's Administration did deregulate as well.It started with Carter.
Well, if we're going that far, it started with Moses.
I do hate the way the U.S. runs their ad campaigns and I don't want them to interfere with my games either, but was that last part really necessary?Ewww, political propaganda in my games. I guess Obama's also in with Marie Callander...

Oh noes, he's saying pie a lot! God forbid barrack has fun with his audience. Do you honestly think that this makes him less qualified to be president? Anyway, the only candidate I'm terrifed of is Palin.

God started it, when he created the universe, or alternatively the big bang depending on what you believe. :PThe sad that about this whole thread is that half of the people thats posting arent even old enough to vote and the other half dont ever have a clue on whats really going on with the election.....just like thier candidate *cough McCain cough*
Obama is targeting the people that matter and thats the young voters (18-30)......the people thats going to run the country in the next 40 or so years.
he has money to burn. scary sums of money. gotta do something with it. and really, it's surprising it took someone this long to use dynamic ads in games for this kind of thing. average age of a gamer is what? 33? that's the target audience. Why is he even bothering? He's got the election in the bag.

Yeah, few other mediums of advertisement target the younger age group as well as gaming does. Television, radio, even the internet reach a much wider audience. If you're looking for the younger age group, advertising in games is a good way to start.
I suspect most politicians are too out of touch to even consider gaming, but that's likely to change after this election.

I guess i could appropriately say that "You must be an Obama support" just based on your assumption.

It appears so. You say one word about him and people make childish assumptions. Didn't expect much else though to be honest.

You said "he (obama) annoys me", not "they", so you can go ahead with that being independent crap.
Why is he even bothering? He's got the election in the bag.

Yes because of his good buddies at ACORN that have done a fine job making sure everyone that registers through them get 70 votes apiece, all for Obama. If I register through XBL, can I get 70 votes? It's even more pathetic he has to rig an election to win it, but 1 or 2 years into his administration , people will realize how dumb they were to vote for him...

So much hatred for a man who hasn't even stepped into office yet...why is that? Meanwhile the country is not exactly an economic utopia right now.
Times have changed and I'm just glad MS are opening doors to young people elible to vote and empowering them and letting them know that they have the right to vote with the help of the Xbox 360.
Not only there's Obama ads in games, but both speeches from the candidates conventions are available to download off the video marketplace. They also have a special section so you could register to vote, and they have all kinds of famous people encouraging you to vote videos, plus they have presidential themes and gamer pictures.
Well I'm all for Obama so I'm glad to see him reaching out to the voice of the youth. And personally I'm glad to see the response from young people as a result.shsonline
I would be for Obama too. Hes the only candidate that i know of that can sell out Invesco Field.

Easy, I live in Illinois. Just look at how bad the state is economically and politically (the Democratic Party controls the whole state) and ask your self, do you really want a man that represents this state to hold the highest office in this country? If you say yes, then you are deluded and please don't vote...
EDIT: As far as the Economic state of the country, we were going down hill years ago an certain other administrations had golden opportunities to respond and help, but chose instead to empower what little jobs we had to outsource. I'll give you hint to that one' it was way before Bush

Try again. It was people wearing ACORN shirt at the McCain rallys. Obama even when public to say that his camp doesnt need ACORN's help.

You beleive a man that worked for the company? Right, what liberal media outlet made your facts up? Every non biased news source has been stating that ACORN is commiting voter fraud and the FBI is investigating. Maybe you should get your facts straight...

True, but its the lazafaire policies of the Republican administration that will do little to help. Personally, its a matter of common sense. Although the Democrats may have controlled your specific state, the entire country has been suffering economically under a Republican administration. Deregulation is partly to blame but it doesn't matter. The majority of the country will vote democrat, this would have been the case whether it was Obama or anyone else running on that side.
