thats got to be anoying that a 4 month old system looks so much better then a year old system.

The 360s oblivion has been out for nearly a year i think so its no surprise that the ps3 one looks better.....but oh wait....they 360s oblivion has been updated with better textures better frame rate and a better draw distance...

They look identical too me...I would actually give the nod to the 360 in a few of those, must be that great ATI card in the 360. :)

stop comparing the 360 oblivion without the update, if you show it with the update you will not be able to see a difference....if anything the 360 oblivion might look better

This is sad.  They had almost a year and THAT is the best they can do?  There's barely any difference.  That is nothing to brag about at all.  The PS3 has yet to put out anything graphics-wise to justify an extra $200 over the XBox360...$5 maybe, but definitely not $200.

no i spent 600 dollars on a machine that will have a longer life span. i also spent 600 on a blu-ray player sence i had an hd tv for two years and had nothing in my house that is hd. it was a waste of money on the tv until now. i also spent 600 dollars on a system that will have the games i love. i like my machine it feels like i got my money worth.

I am glad you think the PS3 will have a longer life span that means I can play Elder Scrolls 5 on my 720 for a year and 4 mths (in 2011) then you can get it ported to your PS4 a years later with slightly brighter textures then you can post here how awesome it is

the difference is very subtle and I would put most of it down to the difference a good digital HDMI cable can make to a picture. Nearly all those shots, I see the exact same texture maps in both.

I will admit in some area the PS3 version does look a little sharper but alot of the pics esp the emperors face were sharpened to much for there own good...and as its been said 1000 times they had over an extra year to work on it....it is definitely not ownage that it looks slightly better...i beat that game a year ago so i really don't care...180+ hours i am the leader of almost every guild in the game I really couldn't care less that now it has slightly sharper textures and better shaders
