Ah yeah! Exclusive MS title for Xbox and PC

Im still wondering which one of the official narratives cows will chose make System Wars Cannon reguarding Obsidian. So far, I've seen combinations of all 3 so far. :

1. Claim Obsidian is only a shadow of their former selves. That the REAL developers left, and Microsoft bought a name only, and will destroy them because they're ebil.
2. An oldie but goodie is to simply pretend they never liked Obsidian anyways, SO HA!
3. A new one thats common is: Microsoft only bought these to force them to make "Gamepass Fodder".

It was already under production with Take Two as the Publisher. Will be a multiplat. Most likely their last one.

Cool. I'm not sure what this is but from the images it seems like some space game? with fallout old style texture in its images.

thats the only exception. that and System shock 2.

M$ will hand them the Fable Franchise I am sure. I still miss Project Gotham Racing, there was something so snappy, responsive and fun about the driving physics in that game. Forza Horizon feels a bit floaty in comparison.

Why don't you play different rpg's? So many good ones. Dare I say it, try some jrpg's.

Alpha Protocol 2 probably. Since Microsoft may try to make a exclusive sequel to that game.(Similar to the way that Nintendo published Bayonetta 2)

Funny though both Bayonetta and Alpha Protocol have the same Publisher.(SEGA)

The art promos look promising... I dont want to think about New Vegas everytime I hear Obsidian but I cant help it. That being said, I would love to see them go back to first or 3rd person.

No. JRPGs are even worse for me. cant stand animu characters.

How about crpg's then? Of third person wrpg's like Fallout new vegas?

Im one of those PC gamer who have no interest in CRPGs. not interested in any of third person WRPG either. have very bad experience with mass effect and witcher. they are worst kind of games imo. even worse than movie games.

Are fps's the only thing you play?

90 percent of time sure. and thats why 2018 suck because no good FPS this year. next year will rocks because of Doom, Metro and Rage 2.

Anything Obsidian peaks my interest to be fair.

This should be Project Indiana. I assume "The Outer Worlds" trademark Obsidian filed to secure the title for them.

Maybe this even includes some of the concept of that unrealized sci-fi project they had a few years ago.

Its rumored to be a third or first person action RPG set in a sci-fi world.

They've said previously this is an action-oriented RPG with AAA graphics using the Unreal Engine 4. It is a new IP. When people have asked Cain and Boyarsky about Fallout and Arcanum, they've said this isn't either of those but should appeal to fans of both. It's going to be first or third person (I'm not sure which), not isometric.

Alpha Protocol IP is owned by Sega, so definitely not.

and remember how bad alpha protocol was. it was panned by gamers and critics alike and was nothing other than poor mans Deus Ex in third person.

obsidian should stick to top down CRPGs.

But SEGA allowed Nintendo to make Bayonetta 2 and 3 even though that they own the ip.

For Alpha Protocol Microsoft might try to get the license form the sega for a sequel.

New Vegas 2 hell even remake.

Those teasers have a fallout vibe to them.

The best console version will be on the X if it is a current gen game.

This is from Take-Two, they aren't cheap like SEGA. Sega had a way lower budget and even with the jank, I quite enjoyed Alpha Protocol.

MS should buy the Mass Effect IP and make it Obsidian's. Much the same as 343 is Halo, T10 is Forza and The Coalition is Gears.

Yeah like that'll ever happen. :P

It's being published by Take Two/Private Division instead of Microsoft and this has been in development since before the acquisition process.

From what I hear it's a new IP, not Alpha Protocol 2.
