As for your Culdcept, I never heard of it but when I looked up its scores on IGN, I can kind of see why. It didnt get very good scores. You may not like MGS but it is a quality game.Javy03

I need some games worth playing on my 360 this year, chances are they'll be shootan games again. I might eventually buy LO simply because I need a JRPG worth playing. I'd consider it more if it wasn't for people who simply LOVED Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata recommending it. Both pretty bad games in my own opinion.

Gears 2?? Maybe... If they fix the online play. Can't be that hard now can it, Epic?

i love it cause it has story and ALOT of memorible characters. There is no character in the series that isn't memorble... besides raven. he probably the only person. I hope they tell some more of Pychomantis' story in MGS4 cause the girl has marriontetes of them.

I am not really a big fan either. The presentation of Hideo Kojima is amazing, but the story was just average to me. I still haven't finished MGS 3. Oh, and AI is terrible in all those games, and that looks to be the trend in MGS4 (just look at that 15 minute demo on gametrailers). Boss fights were pretty cool though.

Ok, PS3 fires off his blu ray of doom making teh 360 red ring. but then after some months of extending the warrenty the 360 comes back with some games. Man, too bad PS3 don't have any!!!! Well, not really, but surely not as much as the 360. But whats this, Live is down, omg OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG, live is down, and now I cannot do anything on my 360 cause i cannot log in. Like i mind as well not play the game since nothing gets saved to my gamer tag when live is down. Well then lets watch some shows I have downloaded, oh wait, live is down damn it I rather have it red ring on me.

#1 its free. #2 you can play games within the home world....#3 its a game and community in one package. If you dont consider Home a game then why is it compared to Second Life and Sims....arent those games? Yes.

I have very little faith in 1up, I recall them claiming that both Oblivion and DMC 4 had longer load times on the PS3 version in their previews and man where they wrong. I mean i am not here to judge because I could care less about reviews.

Well overall it gets excellent reviews on average but like me if you dont care about reviews that cool. In my personal experience MGS was one of the first games on the PS1 that broke the fourth wall. It made you feel like part of the game with the psychomantis part where he reads your memory card and comments on your games, he also makes the controller vibrate. Then you also had moments where to find out the Meryls codec numbers you had to look on the back of your physical disk.

As for the rest of the series its always been an amazing combination of great gameplay and storytelling. I never said it was unique which is what your asking for in "what it does that no other can/does". Its just a very consistant solid game that has created a fan following with amazing story, gameplay and memorable characters. I mean look at it, Snake is now on brawl.

The Halo franchise sold well because it appealed to the FPS gamers and was a solid online console FPS. Halo Wars is an RTS, not a very popular franchise on consoles. I dont see the majority of Halo fans buying Halo wars.

Myself included, if Halo Wars can capture the feel of a Halo game and just transfer that into the overhead view then I will get excited and perhaps even lessen my diastase for the RTS genre.

Screens like the one below do provide some encouragement however.

What I hope to get out of HALO WARS is a fun, easy to control RTS with a lot of different strategies. The most important thing is they don't miss any obvious exploits because people are all over those in two seconds and quickly ruin the game for people trying to get into playing it online.

That's pretty much our aim, but if that wasn't enough we've got plenty of pressure to deliver a great game because this is a Halo title too. How's that for a double whammy? Whether we succeed or not is going to be up to you guys. I think we're definitely on the right road.

So basically what Ensemble wants to do is make the best possible console RTS. That includes making controls that are just right, that is actually their primary goal.

Halo Wars is being built ground up for the Xbox 360. You should watch the demo...it looks awesome.

The graphics and artistic design are impressive, but that's not my problem. It's hard to control units without a mouse and hotkeys. I played Command and Conquer demo, and it only affirmed my belief that RTS is not a console genre.

Halo wars will also be on pc. But the controls for halo wars are different then most rts instead of a cursor u have a central crosshair.

Owning a PS3 am looking forward to this year's line-up hoping it won't be hit by delays as already happened many times...

Games are the reason I bought my PS3 and finally this year it will make it worth the money spent although already played many great games on it...

Was gonna get the Xbox360 last xmas but the exclusives coming out on it don't interest me and as for multi-platform games, I'd go for the Ps3 ones since now devs seem to have understood the PS3's hardware architecture and will start exploiting its true potential...

Still its a matter of tastes in the end....
