Yuck.
Like the setting, and even like quite a bit of the mechanical/conceptual designs, but no doubt it will still play like CoD, have all the same stupid set piece design mechanics. As someone mentioned earlier, everyone is starting to chase Titanfall. Activision knows it's a threat to their baby.
Titanfall is a threat? That franchise with the one barely successful game? THAT is a threat?

You gotta look past the surface.
Titanfall may lack in content, but from purely gameplay standpoint, it shits all over CoD.
It's so much better, it's not even funny.
And Activision recognizes it.
Titanfall took a step forward that CoD refused to, and now CoD is trying its best to keep up.
Titanfall may have stumbled with its first iteration, but the next one just might put CoD into the grave.

With the exo-suit stuff added to Advanced Warfare, yeah, it's certainly a threat when you consider how much Activision is trying to emulate it. Plus it plays and feels almost exactly like Call of Duty since it is made by the ex-founders of Infinity Ward. I think very few mainstream CoD players know who made Titanfall and why they should be playing such a well made game, even if it is lacking in overall content. I would argue that this next iteration does need a basic campaign to reel in people who like that sort of thing. I would also narrow down the number game modes to concentrate player bases, while offering more game customization options for non-ranked play.
Expect Titanfall 2 to receive much more support from EA this go around, with a likely much bigger advertising budget.
They confirmed MW won't be sold separately https://support.activision.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/Call-of-Duty-Modern-Warfare-Remastered-FAQ
They won't be getting any of my money then. Screw Activision for holding something people actually want to play hostage behind cat vomit.
@quadknight: Right, COD is going to go from a top seller to no one buying if they don't bundle MW remastered.
The franchise may be a top seller but IW is skating on thin ice considering how shitty COD Ghosts was. It was the game that started the sales decline for COD. Now that BLOPS3 is becoming the best selling COD in a while and making sales trend go up Activision can't afford to have another IW sales decline that will drag the series back and hence the reason they aren't selling COD4 separately. It's just good business, shitty move but good business.
Hopefully IW redeem themselves with Infinite Warfare.

Titanfall isn't a threat to COD.
Infinite Warfare will outsell every other shooter coming this year like every other COD game does, FACT.
@quadknight: I don't deny that Ghosts wasn't the top selling COD but most games would love to sell like Ghosts did. It still turned profit for Activision. Its a stretch to say "nobody will buy" without MW attached.

Yea, I know it was just a figure of speech. :P I didn't mean it literally.
COD is a sales monster and even the worst selling games still sell millions and manage to top all the sales charts.

Kinda makes me mad
If BF5 is really going back to WW2 I think it will give IW a run in sales. The fatigue from futuristic shooters is real. There is no variety left with almost every shooter out looking like a clone of each other now.
Playstation 4 Remastered Games. Why play new games when you can play old games with new paint?
Can't wait for PS4K Remastered Again Edition.
COD is on everything you moron.

Just torrent it for PC then.
Forcing people to buy the special editions to play COD4... typical Activision. Pass!
Not being forced to do anything. It's just a videogame and you don't have to buy it. Vote with your wallet.

Oh I will be... but I think it blows that you have to buy the whole thing just to play MW Remastered.
“The original Modern Warfare raised the bar on video games and forever will be remembered as one of the best. It’s an honor to be developing the remaster and we are committed to faithfully remastering this classic for Call of Duty fans,” stated Brian Raffel, studio head of Raven Software."
Is this guy for real?? a head of company that made hexen, heretic and soldier of fortune?? sounds like activision puppet
How did COD4 Raise the Bar??!! it take FPS genre Backward!. remove level design and replace it will scripted set peice walking in straight line and only NPC open the door.
That is indeed sad.Hexen, Heretic and SoF were great, especially Hexen and Heretic, kinda liked them more than Doom/Wolfenstein/Duke.
explosions explosions explosions explosions explosions slow-motion explosions explosions explosions explosions. Looks pathetic and impossible to distinguish from the last three CoD.
I'll wait on World At War Remastered and for $79 LOL they can keep it.
WaW had a great campaign. I haven't bought a Call of Duty game since.
I thought remastering Twilight Princess was a little unnecessary but this is crossing a line for me. 20 COD games in the past 10 years or so and now they start remastering the very similar older games... We barely need so many new ones let alone more old ones. I guess if it's included for free then it's just a bonus so I can't complain about that. Space warfare could be cool but the graphics feel last gennish.
$80 for a game? That seems steep.
Some new developments according to IGN. Looks like the game will have seamless space combat/air combat missions in addition to your standard boots on the ground missions.
:D I like where this is going. I know it will not be Star Citizen but I still like the option of customizable space ships and doing space combat, I live for that kind of shit lol.
The fighter, referred to in the game as a Jackal, "can transform between atmospheric flight mode and zero-G flight mode for when you have to dogfight in the vacuum of space," Infinity Ward design director Jacob Minkoff explained in an interview with IGN.
According to Minkoff, Infinite Warfare will offer a seamless experience in which players are fully invested in not only their character, but also their vehicle. "It's kind of the Top Gun fantasy," he explained, noting that "it's your fighter that you get to upgrade and customize. You get to walk along the flight deck and have the flight crew preparing it for you and saluting you and you get into it and you fly out into these crazy missions that you chose to go to."
In this way, "you can be boots on ground, fighting through the streets of a city on earth, call down your Jackal, get into it, fly up through the atmosphere, engage in a dogfight over the orbit of earth, finish that dogfight, land on the deck of the carrier, get into the carrier, go up to the bridge, and order your ship to go to the next mission and all of it happens seamlessly with no loading screens."

WaW had a great campaign. I haven't bought a Call of Duty game since.
1 & 2 had good campaigns you mean. WaW had horrible respawning enemies forcing you to keep going forward or they'd keep coming forever. Also had a lot more railroaded/linear level design.
CoD went to dogshit after #2... at least from a sp perspective. Don't really give a fu*k about running around with all the little kiddies online.
If they include the multiplayer for Modern Warfare remastered, I have no doubt it's going to surpass the player numbers Infinite Warfare gets, especially on PC.
Also, if they don't include multiplayer for it they're completely brain dead.
I'm passing on this. So tired of this future bullshit. I waited 3 years for a normal CoD while playing Ghosts on and off since release. And this is what I get for my patience......Thanks *rolls eyes*
Not paying $80 for a CoD 4 remaster either. They need to release a standalone even if it's just digitally. I have no problem paying regular retail price for it ($60)
WOW is the last word I would associate with CoD, the words "no more" sounds more fitting.
Wow, was for the remastered COD4.
It's a genuine classic. Seeing it with improved visuals is a "wow" moment IMO.
Captain Price's epic mustache returns with nextgen visuals :D
I disagree with CoD4 being a classic. It wasn't that great of a game, and I was already playing Battlefield 2 when it came out, which was way better.
Also, Crysis pissed all over it as a single player shooter.

Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.
I say it was a classic and I was also playing Crysis and Battlefield 2 at the time too.
I'm a huge Battlefield fan, it's my fav shooter franchise and I still like COD4, it is the only COD game I've ever really liked.
They're just going farther and farther into the future and it's getting weird...
At least more people will get to experience some of the unforgettable moments of CoD4
- Dying of radiation in the middle east
- Missing that key sniper shot...
- Not missing it later....

Maybe Neo is just a placeholder name and it'll be Playstation 4 Remaster?
Meh
But the CoD 4 remastered sounds like a damn good remaster !
Anyone knows what was the song playing?
Space Oddity from David Bowie. It plays at the end of Alan Wake too.

I just really enjoyed WaW with it being the final and last return to the WW2 setting. Despite it's time frame, it had that extreme and desperate feel you don't expect in a WW2 shooter, especially as you make your way into Berlin, first through the Seelow Heights, the suburbs, and then into the heart of the city itself. Quite an interesting journey to play.
