How does Wii have 20 AA........
Dont tell me your counting VC Titles.

[QUOTE="SmashBrosLegend"]So, taking out all remakes, ports, and timed exclusives, it looks like this:
AAAEs
PC: 5
360: 2 (not counting Gears of War)
PS3: 0
Wii: 1
AAEs
PC: 40 (not including Knights of the Nine)
360: 9
PS3: 1
Wii: 4
Zeliard9
This is one of the reasons I don't really think PC should be a part of system wars (and I have a powerful system). It's just so much more capable and powerful and versatile than consoles that it literally isn't fair. It's like having "car wars" and introducing a spaceship.
LOL.
it's not lost, always been a 360 timed exclusiveUpdate:
GRAW 2 (PS3): 8.5
Warhawk (PS3 exclusive): 8.5
Is this version of GRAW 2 identical to the 360 version? If so, I'll update 360 as having lost an exclusive.

As far as consoles go, the Xbox 360 seems to be the new PS2 in terms of number of AAA+AA titles.paranoiasurviva
And 360 has been out for HOW long? 2-3 years? When did the PC gen start?? With 360??? Wii and PS3 should not have their game library size compared to consoles that have been out for so long.

Yes that must be kept in mind with this list. But all the reviews are dated, so it is possible to look at them relative to one another.
For the love of all that is holy, Ridge Racer 7 is not exclusive! Read the review, Gamespot says it's RR6 with a few extra tracks. If Sigma isn't exclusive, RR7 definitely isn't.OregonTrailing
true, most of tracks in rr7 is same as xb360 rr6. only two new tracks added.
and I consider Sigma is a xb balck port .
[QUOTE="laughingman42"][QUOTE="Planeforger"]Dont count sigma. Its a port with extra content. Otherwise you might as well count RE4 because its new control setup is insanely good. I'm going to miss it playing RE5. and besides Casey said remakes/ports with extra content dont count. As for the exclusives, we've got:
AAAs
im sorry it seems as though you are contradicting your self planeforger you dont count the wii port but you count the ps3 and xbox ports, i think your not being fair at all.
PC: 5
360: 3 (counting Gears of War)
PS3: 1 (counting Sigma)
Wii: 1 (not counting RE4)AAs
marth678
PC: 40 (not including Knights of the Nine)
360: 9
PS3: 2 (including Virtua Fighter 5, which will be on the 360 soon)
Wii: 4
[QUOTE="Lilac_Benjie"]It is realistic. Wii caught developers off guard. It makes the most business sense to develop for a console which is cheap to develop for and has the fastest growing install base.
KirbyFan10101
However, the people that are buying Wii's are hardly the sort of people to go out and buy games on a monthly basis, whereas X360 and PS3 owners are. It makes more sense to release a PC/360/PS3 multiplatform game, as all three systems work on a fairly consistant basis.
You could be right, but right now I am not seeing this third party support Wii owners are prayng for, and if it does happen, i'll be the first to grab a Wii.
hardly the ones to go out and buy games, where do you people get this from you hear a few biased people and you fell you know everything about the system... you people need to do some research on the wii's 3rd party its looking great.
He isn't talking about the wii not having games worth buying, he is refering to the purchasing habits of casual gamers. They buy a game, they fall in love with it and they play it to death, hardly touching other games. My mom is addicted to the sims 2. My ex is addicted to animal crossing. People are still addicted to tetris. Its part of the casual market that the wii is cornering and why many believe it won't have legs for very long.
So basically PC>360>PS3>Wii. Although PC's numbers are somewhat unfair, seeing as we don't count backwards compatible titles on PS3 and 360. There's not really any way to correct that though, so I guess we should just let the numbers sail as they are.Timstuff
Why? He only counted the PC titles that came after X360 was released

Teh moral of the story is PC's own!!! Funny thing is it always seems gamespot is very tough when grading PC games, alot of games that deserve an AAA usually fall shy becuz GS seems to lowball PC scores.
[QUOTE="stereointegrity"]uhh if im not correct sigma is an exclusive..NerdMan
It is not considered an exclusive.

Here is a Google Spreadsheet I've created that sorts and totals all reviews of games on all major current gen systems since the release of the Xbox 360. I have now, to the best of my knowledge, indicated the exclusives for each platform in orange bold font and totalled them. If I've missed any arcade/VC ports, etc. let me know.
I'm pondering whether people will be too lazy to clink the link and I should just copy and paste the whole damn thing.
Spreadsheet link: Current Gen AAA and AA Games by Platform
For those of you just interested in the nitty gritty:
Total AAA (# exclusive)
- PC: 9 (5)
- Xbox 360: 7 (3)
- PS3: 3 (0)
- Wii: 2 (1)
Total AA (# exclusive)
- PC: 62 (44)
- Xbox 360: 50 (6)
- PS3: 22 (2)
- Wii: 9 (3)

Wow, I just have to say, NICE. That must have taken some time to do. Thanks for taking the time, nice charts indeed :D

well done :)
I'm curious if you considered the total # of games for each system(non arcade/download) and figured a percentage on the ratings. Last gen all 3 systems equal out to be about the same. Just curious if it's still holding true.
Though perhaps it's too early...
kryloc
No, because then certain games that were trash would bring the scores down a lot. It's a horrible way to see who has the most quality games.
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NINJA GAIDEN SIGMA IS A PS3 EXCLUSIVE, SO THIS TOPIC IS WRONG. YOU FAIL.
Big Update:
World in Conflict (PC): 9.5
Eternal Sonata (360 exclusive): 8.5
DiRT (PS3): 8.5
NHL 08 (360, PS3): 8.5
Guild Wars: Eye of the North (PC exclusive): 8.0
Updated Counts:
Total AAA (# exclusive)
Total AA (# exclusive)
[QUOTE="Lilac_Benjie"][QUOTE="KirbyFan10101"]This is no surprise, really. The 360 is the only console holding its ground against the PC, and they share quite a few games anyway.Citizen_Zero
The Xbox has been out for a year longer than Wii and PS3, and PC has been around for decades. So it isn't really a fair comparison yet.
Lets wait for developers to actually release their games on PS3and Wii before we jump to conclusions.
Yeah thats why it's the wait station and COWS are so fitting as a moniker.
[QUOTE="JPOBS"]360 dominates the console wars. NerdMan
Too bad this is System Wars, and the PC dominates the 360... :)
Yeah but really a PC game isn't it a win for the 360 since they really benifit the same company M$?? Microsoft makes money off it's tools, and it's OS so really I don't see how the 360 should be treated as competition for the 360. They are more like a family, or a big brother to the 360...
