Some quick tips to shorten your wait.

So, yup some stuff is on fire here at the office and if the forums are any indication, we were totally unprepared, don't care about our real fans, and should totally give everyone their zero dollars back with a side of free Xbox LIVE. While none of that's the case, our test team just broke away from an epic struggle with some molten server metal and 600,000 players to deliver us some quick tips to help you get games going a little bit faster.

1. Don't restart your search, even if load times are long. The initial load for map and game type will take a really long time, which is super lame, but once you've made the connection, the files will be cached to your hard drive and the next time you load to same map/game type, it should be nice and fast.
2. Don't reboot or reload the beta. It won't help and it will actually clear your cache, making your wait times much longer.
3. Don't leave your party. Since everybody in the party has to load the same files, your wait is tied to other player's download process as well. Stick with the same crew and things should iron out.

Rest assured that we're working on the issues and as soon as things start to smooth out, we'll let you know. Thanks for your patience.

Killzone 2 has actual weight to it. So much so that you can nearly feel it. Even when jumping you can nearly feel your knees bend when landing. This feels nothing like Killzone 2.

I was waiting for about 5 minutes when I finally decided to just go customize my character a bit. As soon as I got done I had no problem getting a game. Doubt that had anything to do with it, but I could not get into matchmaking until I did so.

Eh, its Halo. I like some of the new weapons like the DMR and Plasma repeater but aside from that its about the same. The abilities are nice and I'm enjoying the sprint and guard options.

But it doesn't feel like anything dramtically different so far.

I find it funny that Halo games tend to have more content (Save for ODST, argubably) then most other games, yet people somehow believe that Halo hasn't changed at all.

I also find it funny when people complain it feels like a Halo game. It's like me picking up a Forza 3 and complaining that the it handles like a sim racer

I played a few matches before I couldn't find a match, and it was boss. I played CTF and Slayer on Swordbase, and I was prettty good. But man, I'm a GOD when it comes to being a gunner on a vehicle, or when it comes to blowing crap up with a Scorpian. I'm just saying, y'all should be on your toes when Invasion is playable.

So um have anyone try using armor lock next to a enemy who is using the armor lock? It quite funny.

I'm really impressed with the gameplay and weapons. The current game modes are kind or"blah" but that will change soon. DMR is great but I think theneedle rifleis a little underpowered against shielded enemies. The hammer is insane if you're using scout so something might need to be done about that too. Not a fan of the smaller maps that are available nowbut I know I'll like the larger maps. Just gonna have to wait to see how the vehicles are.

Cute. I've managed to gather more from the very few posts here and in other threads than you can from my almost a year old history on this site.

Played about 25 matches, lots of fun, just think grenades damage or radius need to be tuned down.

Is anyone else getting the "Halo Reach server is not available at this time" message on the matchmaking screen? I played one game.... and got this.. I am dissapoint...

This beta is awesome...The loadouts make this feel like a more tactical game now. Especially on CTF, when you are defending you can pick the "armor lock" ability to guard/return your flag...and when attacking you can go full on assault with the jet pack or "active camo" stealth. BEST HALO MP GAME!

That just means I have more 360 games than for other systems. It doesn't mean that I'm a fanboy or baised as you are inferring. And while we're on the subject of profiles, let's take a look at yours.

-won my first ever game of Headhunter- skullimanjarro too8)-fun gametype

-placed in oddball with 28 kills

-the Announcer is same as Halo 3, so that's ownage

-jetpack is meh to use on bumper jumper

-jumping sucks now

-frag grenades are easy to get kills with. I was hitting people out of the air pretty easy.

-UI for main menu is kind of confusing, I'm glad they gave some thing background color though, lobby and in-game.
