Yep, because they don't agree with you means they aren't entitled to an opinion, right?.Maxim: 3.5/5 (70%)
They really should stick with the hot babes because they have no idea what the hell they are talking about.

so you trust a website that been up for 1 day:?
No, i value their opinion but why give this game a 3.5 and gears 2 and halo 3 5/5s? I sense Xbox bias and they are a magazine so journalists are supposed to remain unbiased.stupiddkSo in order to remain unbiased you feel they need to score all games of a similar type equally to fit the game you yourself like, they like Gears 2 and Halo 3 BUT because you like KZ2 so should they, yet because they don't think it's all that great they should then in turn not like Gears 2 and Halo 3 in order to remain unbiased?. Okay.
"Maxim also gave 50 Cent a higher score than KZ2 AND Street Fighter IV."
Point made :D.

The reason I don't trust Maxim is because they don't even play the games fully. They are not given review copies because they are not considered video game journalists (hell they only say a could words for each review). They often review games simply by hype or by a very limited beta type play through. I'm not sure why anyone in their right mind would trust a video game review when it is less than 20 words long.I see this game getting a 9. I don't think it will get any higher. Looking at metacritic it seems the general consensus is a 9 out of 10 which is still a superb score. sirk1264Ya I think coop would have pushed it to 9.5, but it'll prolly get a 9 here, a 9.5 would be awesome tho :P

It still seems like a superb shooter though.

Agreed, my guess is they couldn't put it in without taking a hit in the graphics in the MP, they probably prefered to keep single but with godly graphics. Just a guess tho, maybe down the line they'll learn some better optimization and get it in there :P I just hope it's a good competitive game, not broken, or lop sided or whatever, balanced!

Some people just like to play team deathmatch while others like to play objective games. At least that's what I'm understanding from the first impressions video about the game types changing in real time from one type to the other.

Yeah I was hoping Killzone 2 would just overall exceed the massive amount of hype fans generated by outscoring the heavy hitting first person shooters on well known and respected reliable gaming sources. It's up there but unfortunately it's not surpassing these real heavy hitting shooters. Killzone 2 is simply a solid 9 game.
I always felt that Killzone 2 was like the underdog and that it would knock out the competition but it just falls short. But at least noone can deny how awesome this game looks because it got the graphics department on lock even if some reviews notice inconsistancies.
It's been years in the making and we'll get a taste tomorrow. Finally an exclusive PS3 shooter worth getting. My official GS hype for Killzone 2 is AAA but I welcome higher scores with open arms.

Yes, you can, I did it alot in the beta, Warzone is much slower to level up than straight up Team Deathmatch. Another cool, unmentioned thing about Killzone 2's MP is that every game feels very competetive. Why? Because which ever team wins, gets their points that they earned x1.5. So one team wins and the person on the team got 50 points from kills or w/e, he gets 75 points total. The losing team does not, it really makes it more competitive.

Yup its up to you ... You can also create rooms however you like, ie which maps, which weapons, which game types etc. Good to know that GG did this all right. And I think this is the first time that being in a clan is gonna mean something at least in-terms of PS3 shooters (should be interesting how all the clan stuff pans with the plethora of clan support they have in the game)

Well that sounds more assuring. Hopefully the multiplayer can keep me entertained more because R2 just felt like a fragfest and a major cluster**** after a while. I also like that KZ2 will be a more realistic game so it should keep the little brats(er i mean kids) out of the game lol. Though I doubt it will. I hope more people talk to. It's sad that no one talks in R2.
I think I'm only going to dislike two things about the game. One is the story, which I think has no excuse for keeping the only Gears-ish character from the first game around, and pairing him with other Gears-ish characters and a Gear-ish main character. There was no room for the radically differnt Gregor Hahka to be in the game? Ridiculous to throw away such an opportunity.
Second is the lack of a cover system in MP. I know that Guerilla made that change based on playtesting, but I would have liked the MP to keep that full stop-and-pop sty/e from the SP.
Do you really want two people popping their tiny heads out of cover guarding a door? I think it would be so annoying just to have these little heads popping up everywhere.
