OFFICIAL Killzone: SF GS: 7.0 Unsticky'd but not Forgotten.

Did anyone actually hype KZ SF for it's gameplay? The Killzone series has always been more of a technical showcase with decent gameplay, similar to the Crysis series on PC.

True but either way it flopped.

It's always been lauded for it's graphics and always shit on for it gameplay.

Much like what's happening with Ryse.

Just read a couple other reviews and the consensus was that it was a pretty good to great game. Just some pacing issues with the campaign. GT did a great video review as well in explaining multiplayer and other issues if anyone is on the fence. They ended up giving the game an 8.8.

I can't wait till this comes through the mail. It seems pretty solid

Just went back and looked at the OP. The game might not have done that well with ratings, but even I'm impressed and hyped just to play it, due to the OP. THAT'S WHAT A HYPE THREAD IS MEANT FOR.

NO where near in my opinion. The hype from lems seems to be AA caliber. To say it is being hyped to AAA would be like saying that lems have been hyping Ryse to KZSF levels, which we all know not to be true.

Oh rest assured there's been a few. Just like how not everyone hyped KZ to the moon, you have a quite a few that did the same with Ryse.

If lems want to continue with this AAA hype backpedaling they shouldn't be surprised for when it hits them in the ass.

Name some cows that hyped KZ AAA. You should know as well as I that actions speak louder than words.

I just saw alot of hype over the visuals which caught my eye as well. I never saw any overloading of AAA hype.

It was pretty much understood this game was going to hit AA here. Obviously that didn't happen, lol.

Just got my copy from my gamestop pre-launch thing can't wait to try it out for a bit after midnight. And for the lulz i hope this game gets a second opinion score of 7 as well :).

Game scored what I thought it would be I knew it really wouldn't be anything "new." I just wish reviewers were consistent when it came to that with other games.

Ya know I haven't heard one good argument why KZ is a 7/10. All they say is NOT ENOUGH ACTION. Plus all the blind hate it gets is unbelievable. Like looking at their track record and being prejudice. I'll see in 1 month how it really is. Prolly like BF4 a 9/10 in my book

Different standards I guess. I was expecting an AA but if it's true that the singleplayer is boring due to bad AI and lack of firefights then it probably deserves the 7/10. It doesn't mean it's bad, and I really do like the Killzone series but I (and everyone else) have high expectations especially after Killzone 2 and 3 scored high (AA to AAA) and since unlike most FPSs, singleplayer is an important element in Killzone.

That said, BF4's singleplayer was awful. The A.I. was great and the firefights can be intense but the story was so stupid and the way those two squadmates acted, it's as if they were still in high school. Special Operations my ass. But then again, who plays BF4 for singleplayer?

Like I said, different expectations.

@godspellwh: we will see at the Gfx awards by the end of the year. I think KZ is a good competitor. Ryse has actually surprised me these past few weeks. Metro LL is a real looker. I think it will be between those 3, purely out of a technical standpoint. I'm rooting for KZ though, love the art style

There is no way the game is a 7. I imagine the reviewer just got owned by the AI and kept dying in certain missions that take some skill. Single player looks stunning and the gameplay is easily the best fps on nextgen consoles.And Multi is so much fun which you know they really didn't review.

multiplayer didn't even really get reviewed on PS4 since the console was not out. And the guy at polygon who gave it the lowest score didn't even know what shadowfall meant when asked in his stream chat lol.

how can you judge a game in 3 hours?

It just proves the guy didn't even pay attention to the game and therefore is not properly judged.It's like someone saying the matrix sucks,but doesn't even know what matrix means.

Ya know what... I'm fine with the 7.0 on Gamespot. They flopped it because of A.I. the same reason as TLOU. And I'm pretty sure the entire world enjoyed that.

Anyway to the ones who already have a PS4. How's the game?

@AncientDozer: Don't worry. I'm sure lemmings will find a way to break down even TLOU' story.

Still Guerrilla focus less on action, more on story, change the gameplay all around from linear war to open world spec ops and still it isn't good enough. F critics.

So GG saying the MP was 60fps was a lie, the game rarely actually hits 60fps. It does average about 50 though so that's still good
