I didn't buy the 360 map pack for Halo 2, as it didn't seem to be a necessary purchase, which is how an add-on pack should be. Everything I'm reading about Motorstorm makes it sound like the greatest offroad racer ever...... for about 2-3 hours. Halo 2 gave me a lot more than that out of the box before I got bored with it. And NO OFFLINE MULTIPLAYER!?!?! To think I was considering buying a PS3 when this game came out after first seeing it. Offline multiplayer is a MUST for any racing game. I would prefer to race against friends sitting on the couch next to me, which I can do with Mario Cart, Burnout, NFS, PGR3, etc, etc, etc. Is the PS3 so weak of a system that it couldn't handle split-screen for this game, or were the developers simply that lazy?

Looks to me like someone else remembers this... :| Gee... guess I wasn't making it up.

i have the map packs for Halo2... what new levels are for the 360 only?

Cows just admit that it flop, and stop using excuses like gamerankings. Just get the game and have fun with it, it still got a good score. Wanderer5

Yeah like sheeps with Legend of Zelda TP....not a cow but it seems apropiate.

Even as quite an ardent anti-PS3 activist I deem that review to be more than excessively harsh. Again it bolsters my belief to not take too much notice of so-called 'professional' reviews.

Imo that makes it worst.I mean it was hyped a year ago like the PS3 killer app that would own the Xbox 360 and eat the wii alive,then the Japanese release shows up and then suddenly is hyped AA and according to the fan bots it was never ever EVER hyped AAA but i clearly remember it was.So from the "super special awesome AAA" pass to the "is gonna be good anyway but ain't no killer app" high AA then "is gonna be good,i guess " low AA.The hype was downgraded like 2 times and even with the downgrades it flopped.Fan boys had to lower their expects 2 times and even that way it was a flopp,that sucks.

What a surprise. Cows continue to discredit reviews that don't go their way. If GS's scores aren't reliable Cows, why are you all still here? "Bu...But...It wasn't hyped AAA!" It didn't even get AA, so just accept your ownage or go to another site that will be convenient for you.

I hope MGS4 or killzone enter in that pattern.I have only playe dkillzone liberation and is like contra on 3d,is a badass game and if i buy a ps3 i want killzone 2.I must now what happens. Imo i like more killzone than halo but i like Gears of war even more.

True. While I was frustrated by the 8.8, (personally I gave it 9.4 and I think Wind Waker was better), I have to agree with the fact that they just need to accept it. Now I'll go on record and say that Excite Truck simply looks more fun than MotorStorm. I guess despite the HD, the explosions, the details and just about everything graphics wise, Nintendo's product once again comes on top for one simple reason: IT'S MORE FUN. and I'm happy about it. I'm sick and tired of just good looking games. I feel like JUSTICE has been served. lovin' it!!!

So im not the only one that thinks Exite truck = Motorstorm.Yet imo the only way a racing game goes AAA is if its something like Burnout meets Motorstorm graphics.

Sorry, all I remember is seeing a Halo 2 Map Pack that I did NOT buy. I don't know what's on it since I never bought it.

No it wasn't. It had 8 tracks, lackluster single player and no split screen. That doesn't deserve AA, no matter how good the graphics and gameplay mechanics are. The devs were just lazy, plain and simple.
