Wow! What a crash and burn conference for MS! Where the hell are all these 10 revolutionary exclusives they have been bragging about? The only thing I liked was Alan Wake and the motion sensor, everything else was weak. Oh yeah! Thanks for killing me with that long boring beatles junk too! I mean come on! We know what rock band games are like. Very Interested to see Sony's! GOW3 FTW!
oh man i don't see ninty or sony surpassing this conference. i was totally excited by the entire thingDecko5Really!? I got more excitement reading my GameInformer about everything they showed. I even had to force my self to stay awake waiting for something different.
wheni was watching the conference live i thought it had too much filler and celebrities to sell the xbox to the public. But after i seen some of the games i was looking forward to, mainly splinter cell then it got a little bit better. but over all it was an alright conference but im really looking forward to nintendos and sonys conferences tomorrow.I might end up purchasing a wii if i like what i see.
oh man i don't see ninty or sony surpassing this conference. i was totally excited by the entire thingDecko5I want to see some new games from sony and nintendo not some games that i already know about. If they have some twisted metal, sly 4, and maybe some new IPs then ill be highly impressed. I can definitely see this conference being better then last years because now that i think about it last years sony conference was pretty terrible actually e3 as a whole last year was garbage.
Splinter Cell, a franchise I have never found interesting looked amazing and Alan Wake looked pretty dull. I'm confused.
But at least Splinter Cell and ODST impressed, Forza 3 *looked* amazing but I found Forza 2 mindnumbingly boring so probably won't follow through with that one. AND CRACKDOWN 2 &%$£@#!?ERS WOOO! Don't actually care about the new MGS until I see some gameplay 'cause it's like. Raiden. You know. Wanted ZOE3. ;(

Sad thing is that its not Realtime Worlds whos deving Crackdown 2.It was good overall.
In terms of games, it was pretty disappointing IMO. I knew about most of the games that they talked about. Many games are not coming out this year either, which is weird for Microsoft since they usually focus on current year.
Alan Wake looked cool, but it is not coming out this year. There is not enough info about Halo Reach or Crackdown 2 to get me excited about them. I did liked Splinter Cell Conviction and Halo ODST demos. Shadow Complex looked neat also. L4FD 2 was a surprise, but I have yet to play the first one.
In short, I can only think of two exclusive games that I am exsited about for this fall New Splinter Cell and Halo ODST, and I knew about both of them already.
I was really impressed with motion controls though, but it looks far off to me. A lot of new cool features for Xbox live though. Ability to browse netflix on 360 is great for me since I use Netflix quite a lot. LastFM integration is neat as well. Finally, we will get steaming playback! 1080P content is also welcome. Tweeter and Facebook are also cool addition, but I do not care about these two much to be honest.
I would rate the conference 7/10 in terms of games and 9 for features and new controller.

Sad thing is that its not Realtime Worlds whos deving Crackdown 2. But its ex-realtime world devs.am i the only one that's super stoked about beatles rock band, that for me beat anything SONY or NINTENDO can bring to the table, the beatles are legendary, i cried with joy when macca and ringo came on stage, all 13 albums, forget the year, this made my decade, this game will be a system seller on all platforms, i guaruntee it, especially here in blighty, not even the trailer for MW2 impressed me as much as thatdelta3074Come on man...beatles rockband? That was pretty weaksauce...thats like hearing about the next guitar hero installation :?

What I'm trying to say here, not everyone cares you know. Might have to do with age, might have to do with the type of music you grow up with or around. Might be because nodoby feels like playing ****ing Rockband anymore. Could be all three.

First of all, yes, they are gods in the respective GENRE. If you are like me, I don't like the genre, then you could care less about the Beatles. Also, even if the Beatles were the undisputed greatest band in the history of music. Greater than Mozart and Bach put together, my point would still stand. I play video games...for video games, not for music. Sure their music might be great in Rockband, but you are still doing the same thing. What you are saying is like saying "OMFG!!! Sony just won E3 because they announced an awesome new level for KZ2!!!!' While it may be great and all, a new game would definitely be more interesting. Regardless of if its The Beatles or Avril Lavine, its still the same game.
Conference was really quite great.
Three things i liked.
1. They didn't wank thier sales off in our face, no sales or any kind of data at all which was VERY nice when you consider that was the bulk of the Sony/ MS conference last year. on one likes pie charts :P (well execpt this one :P)
2. Where's the beef? HERE'S THE BEEF. They dated alot of games for 2009, (conviction, ODST, Forza 3, L4D2 etc etc) They only showed one LIVE game out of 10 exclusives they showed us (which looked awesome). Crackdown 2 came up behind us and kicked us in the head. As did the 2010 halo game.
3. Innovation you say? You must admit that MS has really gone the whole hog with NATAL waking the Wiimote looks positively pedestrain in the scheme of controler change. Can they deliver? Well if it's as good as they keep saying it is (and that tech demo wasn't completely scripted) then we could have a game changer on our hands.

Might be because nodoby feels like playing ****ing Rockband anymore. Could be all three. you have a point, my friends and I are in our mid 20's and out of 30 people maybe 20 know of the beatles and out of them half at best listens to them. It's sad really even though they are rock legends that not that many people are listening to them this generation, hell when i was playing rock band with my nephew and wanted to play some nirvana or soundgarden they looked at me and said who the hell are they and i just shook my head. Rock Band Beatles is gonna be a good addition but I'm not sure it'll be a mainstream hit it'll probably be accepted by hardcore beatle fans or music afficianados that play rockband.
As others have said, I'll give it a 7/10. There just was nothing that got me excited about my 360. None of the games they showed are really my cup of tea, but good for them for slipping in Crackdown 2, L4D2, and Halo Reach. As nice that they got the MGSR reveal, even if it is multiplat.
Alan Wake: must admit that it's been a long time since I read/saw anything about it, but I remember being interested before. Now I'm disappointed to see that it's basically another survival horror game.
Natal/Milo: The tech is definately interesting. I just have my doubts about when it'll be available and what exactly we'll be seeing from it in terms of games. People are hailing it as a Wii killer, but I just don't see it. The thing with the Wii is that the whole system is built around the concept and all games are designed with motion in mind. Right now, Natal strikes me as yet another addon, which will see a handfull of games but not widespread use. Why? because only a portion of users will own it. How many powerpad games were there? Eyetoy? Even the Wii Balance Board, arguably the most widely adopted add-on only has a few games that use it.
Features: Yawn. I feel this way every E3. Call me old fationed, but I want my systems to play games, not movies, music, facebook, etc...
I was mostly bored through the MS conference up until the Natal point because it was exactly what I've wanted to see at E3: a completely different step forward into the gaming world. It's why I love the Wii.
Now whether it's good or not is debatable and is impossible to tell until the product is finished and tried, but regardless, it's no doubt a step in the right direction. Much better than the usual rehash of games and sequels we usually get.
