Though we are pretty certain it didn't, since there are no concrete #s for all of Europe. Though we do know the 360 won in NA and UK. And when the PS3s Japan and NA numbers are combined it is still a million behind the 360s NA numbers. The PS3 has not sold 2 million units in Japan in a year and more than likely worse in Europe. In terms of hardware sales the PS3 is a distant dead last.

Not really. unlike the Countries that compose North America, the tastes of the Countries that compose Europe are more wide spread. So it's possible to have one country where PS3 is a distant third and another country where the 360 is a distant third.

There's no such thing. It's just that by the time the third console comes out console markers get lazy and over confident.

Nintendo did it with the N64 by still putting in strict quality control and using carts.

If the PS3 made closed any gap it was because of the PS3 sale sin Japan, but I'm sure it wasn't much. The PS3 still has a long, long way to go.

blogs are all the rage for fact these days...

Fact is, as some folks have said before, 3 out of the 4 top console gaming markets put the 360 over the PS3. Canada, Japan, UK, US make up those 4.

After that it appears Australia, Germany, and France make a strong 2nd tier, where PS3 is ahead by 2 out of the three.

Third tier most likely goes PS3's way as they have distribution set up from the PS2 era, but is going to have minor changes to global numbers (+200K-300K max).

Tell you what though, if India, Brazil, Russia, and China get off PC's ever and get into consoles (that they don't pirate...), it will be VERY interesting what the new tiers would look like.

BDA's data and Software sales data gathered worldwide are starting to make this very true. Doesn't hurt the top Audio/Videophile site, avsforum, basically all point to the PS3 as the best Blu Ray player to get due to price, playback quality, and 2.0 profile upgradability. However, most on that site could care less about games...

Once again Xbox 360 destroys all. It earned the most revenue from software, $4.8 billion in sales, more than Wii, more than PlayStation 3.

i wasnt of fan of the first but it had a decent following so im sure 2 will do pretty good aswell
