Another problem with Halo 3 hype is all the people hyping it ever talk about is how much copies its going to sell and how many consoles its going to sell and how its going to boost the 360 Sad thing is they rarely if EVER mention the gameplay. Halo's gameplay has always been fun.

Yes I admit that the SP in H2 fell flat on its face, but the MP was absolutely excellent, and Halo 3 looks to improve upon it, AND make the campaign excellent as well.

I see no reason not to hype it: both of its predeccessors were AAA on this site, and are generally considered to be great games.

I don't see why there are so many Halo haters: there are far worse series to hate on, and the Halo series is pretty good overall.

Umm, you finished the game already? Niiice. There are many things we still don't know about Halo 3's campaign; let's hold our judgement until it's been released and we've played it.

Halo speaks for itself in terms of gameplay.

in case you havent noticed, halo is pretty damn good.

I never understood Halo, personally. I played it a few months ago and the game, while a decent experience, was rather lacking. It didn't even have the atmosphere that Killzone had (there, I said it!) and the level design was so incredibly boring, I was actually laughing at the thought of how well received this game was. I don't understand how a game can get a 9.7 or whatever by recycling the same rooms for an hour.

Halo 3 will probably be a fun game simply due to the four-player co-op, and in that I may purchase it, but the series gets way more hype than it deserves.

It has a lot of new features and I AM HAPPY! :D

That's the only reason. Reviewers are already saying it plays very similiar to Halo 2 and it appears Bungie is not trying to change too much to keep the original audience happy. I'm so tired of all the "Halo is coming!!11!1!" threads. There is nothing spectaular about Halo 3. It's just another sequel. It doesn't revolutionize it's genre, nor does it raise the bar of gaming. Hype? Theres been triple the amount of hate as there is hype.

Id say Forge, File sharing, Saved Films and more raises the bar of console FPS games.

not that bad. they have halo Mountain Dew and Doritos, a halo themed system coming out just for the game, 2 different halo artwork themed wireless controllers that cost $60 instead of the normal $50, a halo colored wireless headset, 3 versions of the same game, one costing $130 freaking dollars because it comes with a toy helmet. plus the McFarlin toy figures, a statue of master chief, no doubt t-shirts, and other clothes, no to mention all the banners and signs. this is almost as big as when Spider-man 3 was released.

the hype for this game is just for all the wrong reasons. its just lemmings trying to boost there console by using the only game that they have. if you think that halo 3 is worth the hype then you have nt played proper pc fps. there are games that would blow halo and its spin offs to smithereens.

i have played halo and halo 2 for that matter and they were all pretty much generic shooters. yes the mp was fun but that was only because there was nothing like that on the xbox. just because the xbox has a good shooter it doesnt mean that all the other shooters are crap and that halo is the best.

please get a proper gaming opinion which you can acquire if you only play games from other consoles as well.

i just cant wait till its over and we have a rating for the game. although then we'll have one side saying i told you so and the other getting mad. and im hoping its the haters getting to yell at the fanboys. get mad at me, call me a flamer, but nothing would make me happier right now then to see that game flop in the ratings. yea it'll be the #1 selling console game of all time no matter what, but all i want is just an honest 7.5 from the reviews to shut the fanboys up.azshorty2003
