only other noteworthy thing is 360 price drop obviously helping and outselling ps3 by a quite a bit.

Why would RB2 sell 360 consoles? Wait until next month, when the price cut coupled with Gears 2 happens. THEN it will sell consoles.

I figured the 360 would be 400,000 with the price drop and 200,000 for the ps3. Perhaps the ps3 won't get crushed in NA going forward as we once thought.

no its not 360 is about 160K behind the PS3 this year in NA sales. But with the holiday season and big games coming out for both consoles it could go either way. Needless to say it'll be interesting...

hm... not sure about that. 160,000 units is alot of ground to make up, but there are some heavy hitters coming out so it will be interesting...

Im impressed with both PS3 and 360. 360 for obvious reasons, the price drop has worked wonders. The PS3 though, has not only managed to avoid dropping in numbers the month of its competitors big price drop, it actually did better than the previous 2 months.

Go MS, and go Sony. Should be an interesting few months up to this christmas :).

Nintendo wow you are getting richer. Sony ps3 sold far better that i expected it sold beter than the last two month i epxect the 360 sold overe 400k, well but still great the 360 do not crush the ps3 october will be interested it can be close, the ps3 is selling good despite the price and still very competitive war between the 2 of them.

Wait until this year is over before declaring a winner for 2008. I mean, december ALONE could change the course of who sold how much, and thats still over 2 months away, we still have the rest of October and November to get through, which are both not displayed on this list. Also, September was mostly Xbox at the old price.

Not that much ground. Also there is the years 2005, 2006, and 2007. The PS3 can't outsell the 360 in NA if they only have around 150,000 over the 360 every year.
