Official Sony E3 Press Conference Thread (11AM PDT) - KEEP IT HERE

Yes, I want to see the Rockstar exclusive.

What ever happened to that noir-style game from Team Bondi and Rockstar? I know it's not exclusive, but we haven't seen it in forever.

My predictions (or wishes) are given below.

PS3

1. God of War III: It's hyped. Its anticipated. Its loved. looks like Sony might finally get the breakthrough they have been looking for. The game has already been announced. Announce the release date of Q4 2009 and get everyone -MS fanboy or Sony fanboy- crazy. Ohhh... I can actually feel Kratos slicing through some titans...

2. Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time: Sony left our mouths hanging open after the first R&C Future game. The story was left hanging. The gameplay was highly exciting. Everything seems to be going right for R&C. And if A Crack in Time is actually better than Tools of Destruction, then this might become the definitive platformer of this generation. Yes- even better than Super Mario Galaxy (dodges egg).

3. Resistance 3: Resistance 2 was the best FPS- heck, the best Shooter I ever played on any console. Better than Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Halo, Gear of War. If Sony announces Resistance 3, then this might become their best E3 conference ever.

4. Uncharted 2: Uncharted 2 is going to be great. All players are highly anticipating it and if Sony reveals anything about Uncharted 2 this year, then everyone's gonna go ballistic. Come on Sony, tell us what the fuss is about.

5. Gran Turismo 5: C'mon! Enough already! We have waited for a long time. Now, we want a real GT game. And it better be good. Release a demo for GT5, show us some videos, release the specs. We want GT!

6. PS3 Slim: PS3 Slim might be their ultimate breakthrough. First of all, all the complaints about the PS3 being gargantuan will vanish. Then, their might be a huge price drop. And, we might just get a better looking PS3!

PSP

1. Show off all the announced games: Show us what's so special about all the games that have been announced yet- LBP, MotoStorm, Jak, Assassin's Creed Portable and Assassin's Creed 2, the new MGS game... We wanna find out what makes those games so great and good.

2. Final Fantasy XIII: Agito: If FFXII:Agito finally gets a release date, and if they show us some videos and give us some playable demos, then all of us are gonna go berserk! Yeah!!!

3. Uncharted Portable: Sony has brought over most of it's series to the PSP. Uncharted Portable would be a great addition. And it might catch the attention of some hardcore gamers and the chances of the PSP getting revived might just increase...

4. Killzone Liberation 2: There have been rumors all around. And after all the excitment of KZ2, if they announce KZL 2, then this might become the best E3 for the PSP ever!

5. Ratchet and Clank PSP Next: The past two ratchet and Clank games on the PSP were good but they were not good enough to satisfy our thirsts. Come on Sony, show us what you can actually do with the PSP. Bring over a new R&C game. That would be really great.

6. Some new IPs developed specially for the PSP: The PSP, until now, has had only console ports, or poor sisters to some console games or some lazy spinoffs from some great series. If Sony develops some new IPs specially for the PSP, like Nintendo released Nintendogs and Square released TWEWY on the DS, then the PSP's library's credibilty might reach all new heights.

7. PSP Go!: That console is an ergonomical nightmare. Most of us know its gonna suck. But anyway, let us see what this new upgrade is actually gonna be...

whoa whoa whoa. Alright, R2 was good, I'll give you that. But saying it's better than things like halo or perfect dark is just absurd.

I'm fairly certain I typed "halo" and "perfect dark". Not "halo 3" and "perfect dark zero".

Sounds about right. Show off one Stealth-ish game one day (Splinter Cell) and then show off the other stealth-ish game the other day (Assassin's Creed 2). It kind of helps prevent people from making direct comparisons of the two, which would lead them to "Do I want Splinter Cell or Assassin's Creed 2 this holiday season?" which Ubisoft doesn't want.

I'm going to have to call BS on this one. Apparently the "Sony rep" said there would be 3 new IPs announced and yet he also says that one of them takes place in the KH universe. That's quite a big contradiction if you ask me.

So long as I can still kidnap people and force them to do my bidding, I don't mind if they ditch the Portable Ops name.

Twisted Metal, Kojima's new game, Rockstars new game and KH 3 is what I would guess for Sony. And a couple of other new IP's.Floppy_Jim

i think the team who made kh is now working on ff vs 13 so it's more possible to see ff vs 13 than kh3 at e3

Had the game started with something sci fi, then it would have been ok. But the game being about the history of Sir Francis Drake and all the historical background, it took away from it for me. I hope the second one sticks to the script of being realistic history story telling.

The more 2009 release dates they announce the better.

A game centered around the KH Universe would have to use the fundamental and general facts of the KH Universe, which would translate to spin off game rather than new IP.

• slaughter a goat for God of War III
