Just like WRPGs right? Except WRPGs are 100 times more shallow than before. (Oblivion/Fallout3/Mass Effect..) It actually has nothing to do with playing like they did 10 years. It's just a bad overall JRPG. If it was on par with the likes of FF7/8/9/Chrono Series.. The reviews scores would of sky rocketed.

Oblivion was awesome, Mass Effect was awesome, and Fallout 3 will likely be awesome.

When is the last time a AAA-quality JRPG was released?

The genre is getting stale, and it shows. Hopefully FFXIII turns the trend around.

FFXII was just mediocre to the core. I don't care what the review score was. I guess that means Assassin's Creed is better than 90% of other games, right? I mean, reviews are all of a sudden factual opinions, right? FFXII had an awful combat system. FF has been on the decline for the last good many years. Long live FFX.

at lest it scored better then the PS3 version.

Not that I think the game is good, because I didn't like it. But I will never read a Eurogamer review if that pathetic ramble is actually from their review.

yes I have played both. ES was incredble repetitive with its uninspired dungeons, confusing story and easy combat wich had no depth except the block feature.

I'm not saying anything is wrong with an 8, it's just MGS4 got mostly 10 in lots of websites but an 8 there. So it's like they chopped off 2 points from MGS4, so most likely they chopped off a couple points from Infinite Undiscovery. Then again, I'm not sure what's the average score for IU right now and if this Eurogamer score is the lowest so far.

Lol. I didnt mean to sound like a fanboy, I dont like Jrpg's, i just wanted to see if my sig updated.

I got completely owned on this game. I was sure this would be great given the devs and the language being used to describe it. It's a shame it turned out to be so bad

It isn't really *that* bad of a JRPG. I mean, if you're able to look past the voice acting then you'll see a diamond in the rough. That is a big if though. The voice acting can really block willful suspension of disbelief sometime. I've been drawn out of the game sometimes by the incredibly bad voice over. But when I started translating it into different languages in my head and pretending it wasn't english ES WAR WUNDERBAR! J'em c'est.Vandalvideo

It's simply not upto par. Even by Tri-Ace's own standards it's very poor, compare it to a fantastic game like VP2

I Agree with the voiceacing crack, though it's expectedin JRPGs. See the last gen tales games, Blue Dragon etc
