And this statement has no evidence to back it up: To add further insult injury, it seems that UT3 on the PS3 will not exceed GEARS of war graphically; still the game will look damn good on both consoles. So all gamers can look forward to UT being a superb looking game.

Just remember, both console versions will probably look similar and even if thye dont look better than gears UT has a lot more goin on than in Gear, not to mention larger worlds.
At the end of that video on that page, the interviewer asks Mark Rein if UT3 will eclipse GeOW's graphics. Rein says, the games are not competing graphical with each other so no it won't. He was also talking about UT3 in general, not specifically the PS3 version.
EDIT: well the interview was referring to PS3 version, whether or not Rein was is debatable.Â
I wouldn't expect it to beat Gears in graphics, I mean this game actually has stuff going on >_> and a lot of it, and visually it looks very impressive.

No he doesn't say that. He says they are not comparable and not competing. I'll wait until someone from Epic says it looks worse or better, or just wait until the game launches.

I'm not exactly sure but doesn't UT3 support more than 4v4 online multiplayer? If so, neither the 360 version nor the PS3 version will look better than Gears, trust me on this.

Its an improved version of the engine. It can support far more.UT is known to support LOTS of players though.

You're not getting the point here. I could say millions of reasons why he could have potentially stuttered. The point is, thats not evidence that it would look worse. Maybe he drank pop rocks and coke? Maybe he jsut got a hummer backstage? Maybe his wife just divorced him and hes antsy? Maybe hes in some legal limbo corncering the recent quarrel with Microsoft? Theres thousands of explanations, none are proof.

16 max in 2004, dunno whether UT3 will have up to 32 or not, maybe on the PC version it will. Man that would create a lot of lag though so it might just be 16. Still though UT is known for being extremely fast and having massive maps so it will obviously require more power to keep the levels looking great.

In the recent OXM, they mention on that the graphics on UT3 surpasses of what was shown on gears. In other words UT3 graphics make Gears of War graphics look, well ugly. Also on how Epic expanded and improved in using their Unreal 3. And they also mention on how UT3 will set the new standards for graphics. So if UT3 looks better then gears on the 360,then it should be no different then the PS3, UT3 on both consoles will look better then gears. And they also mention that the game is running on a solid 30 frames Per second.
Regarding the controls, Polge revealed that they are so good that half the people who work on the game prefer to play the Xbox 360 version. Furthermore, the guy responsible for the controls has stepped in playtest sessions, where everyone was on keyboards, and with a controller he kicked everyone's butt.
