Ok Gears 1 MP is Sooo much better than Gears 2 MP!

I know a lot of you are going to disagree with me but its got to be said. A few weeks ago some of my friends where telling me Gears 1 MP was better than Gears 2 MP i said they where crazy, well I decided to play Gears 1 again the other night and WOW they where right. Just something about Gears 1 MP is just more fun. Infact playing Gears 1 made me realize all the things i missed from it. Things like being able to choose any map and gametype you want to play and being able to choose if you want to be a cog or locust. I hate the new matchmaking system in Gears 2, it just doesnt feel right for some reason!Another thing I HATE! and i mean I HATE about Gears 2 is the stupid smoke grenades! What was cliffy B thinking when he made it to where Smoke grenades are so powerful they knock you down! OMG it just holds the gameplay back so much! For instance, ill down someone, run up to them and try to kill them and before I know it someone throws a smoke grenade, i get knocked down and either my kill gets stolen or they get revived and some noob runs up to me and chainsaws me while i try to get back up!! Im getting mad just typing about it!Another thing that is just plain stupid is how the Shotgun feels so meaingless at times in Gears 2, why the hell did they take away the ablity for the Shotgun to stop the chainsaw bayonet?! I mean someone walks up to me revving the chainsaw, i shoot them in the face with the shotgun and he still walks up to me freely and chainsaws me? Really?! I mean come on now, cliffy B should know better!I know you guys are going to say 'Stop complaining, just because your not good at Gears 2 and your a noob doesnt mean its a bad game' actually im really Good at gears 2 and no im not a noob, and quite frankly I think the Multiplayer in Gears 1 blows away Gears 2 multiplayer! On the upside, I do think the Horde mode is awesome and thats one thing Gears 1 is lacking and i also think the Single player is a lot better in Gears 2, but the online multiplayer in Gears 1 is way way more fun.. Sure on paper Gears 2 seems better because of 5 on 5 and more game modes, but Gears 1 is overall more fun.Oh and one more thing, the maps in Gears 1 are a lot better and more diverse also and for some reason the character models look slightly bit better, just something about the Gears 2 look and graphics that look dull to me. Oh and if you guys think im wrong, one day go back and play Gears 1 online and you will see exactly what im talking about, when my friends where telling me the same thing i thought they where crazy also, until i went back and played Gears 1 again then i saw the light.

They need to take away the stunning ability and just leave it as a regular smoke grenade.

any types grenade that exploded will stun a living creature, due to its noise and one could argue that it could potentially injured someone if it exploded close to the body part... of course regular frag grenade will kill you instantly

The only problem i have is with the matchmaking. I just want to jump into a custom match and play, Why oh why do you have to return to the matchmaking screen and start again when the match is over? I just want to find some dudes and stick with them for a few games! At least add a paty up feature like in halo3.

Everything else feels tight though, im glad they toned down the shotty. There is nothing i like more than taking down an approaching shotgun noob with my lancer.
