Ok i'm starting to think that X-box 360 is a rip off

a system is only worth what you're willing to pay for it. 

Comparing Halo 3 to Lair and acting as if Blue Dragon is the only 360 JRPG coming wreak of either ignorance or fanboyism.

My advice, go with 360 now. It has great games right now.


Some year from now, get PS3. By then it will hopefully start to get its big titles.

Please dont mention R:fom destroying anything that game defines mediocre.  I would say the 360 it already has a great line up of games and is going to be getting more promising games and new IPs. MS this time around is really focused on getting interesting,fun, good  games along with support for the 360 something I think they didnt do very well with the xbox.

I am a big PS and PS2 fan  (owned both) and I really didnt like the xbox (which I also owned). Honestly the 360 has just impressed in everyway with the games it has to offer and I see it as must own system for anyone who wants to play solid good games. The PS3 even though I like MGS,FF, et cetera still hasnt been able to hold my interest and I dont know when I will ever get one.

play the games.  get the whole experience for both if your able to pick only one.  let the GAMES and the gaming experience make your decision for you.

Most who are 360 owners can tell you that the gaming experience found on the 360 is superior to most...and that makes it worth the cost of admission.  but we're not you.  it's your money.  just because we like it doesn't mean that you will.  in the end if you eperience it and remain dissatisfied, it's not worth the money to you.  I would have paid $800 for my 360 for this experience.

That's not how you must think. The same thing could've been said with the Dreamcast.

I agree, but in the sense of how much money I had to spend on getting the damn thing replaced, services and add on's.

$400 premium

$40 1 year warranty,

$20 play and charge kit

$50 xbl, which I hardly used throughout the 4 months of service prior to GeOW release.  Not to mention the additonal $50 I would have had to spend on another year of xbl seeing as how my first subscription would have expired before Halo 3. Then $50 more after that subscription expired, not to mention it still didn't have HDMI support for the best picture quality, a web browser, nor an HD format disk drive.  I also was stuck with 20GB of hard drive space, which in my case is unaceptable!

That would be $560 I would have spent on 360 hardware within the first year of purchase if I had not sold it already.  It probably would have been more seeing as how I would have purchased another 1 year warranty due to my old one expiring and the disk drive giving me trouble.  Now don't get me wrong the 360 provided me with some quality games and somewhat fun online experiences, but when it came to hardware it sucked.  I spent to much time and money on that damn machine, hell I was on my 3rd one before I sold it and that one was even giving me problems.

In my case it is anyways I have a wireless router and my house is not wired well wireless adapter is built right into ps3 so that already makes it 500$ for me with a 360 then there is x-box live after just two years I will have paid 100$ for live service that brings my 360 to 600$ just like ps3 so thats why I can't decide which to get becuse both systms are going to cost the same in my situation... what should I get Halo 3 looks really cool but so does lair. Blue dragon and two worlds look really cool but so does final fantasy what is a gamer to do???!!!!?!?!kingyoto

Rumors of Final Fantasy XIII not being exclusive to the PS3 are very strong. I would wait and find out more. If FF XIII does indeed come to the 360, there is no reason to own another Sony console again.

Get a PS3 and save everyone the crying.

Reviews mean jack squat. There are plenty of great games on the PS3, just because the stupid reviewers here at GameSpot didnt give them AAA scores doesnt mean they are bad. Resistance is a great game and Motorstorm is hella fun online. Plus not everyone has Oblivion yet and in my opinion, Armored Core 4 is a fantastic title but very difficult, worthy of an 8.5 score instead of whatever it got imo. Plus Heavenly Sword, Lair, The Darkness, FF13, White Knight Story, Gran Turismo 5, DMC4, Warhawk, Turok and Half Life 2: The Orange Box are going to be fantastic games.

well, you should've said what genres do you prefer. If you prefer sports and shooters you'd be fine with a 360. There's some RPGs, and other games, but the strenght of that console is in those 2 genres. If you like a more balanced library go with the PS3.

i forget who ever started this thread but i would recomeend the ps3. Two of my friends have one and they havnt had any problems. The 360 is not a reliable system. Im not bashing but its true, i read a lot of posts in the 360 forums and a lot of people have gone through 2 360s to get one that works. If your paying that much for a console, it should work the first time. Also, xbox live a lone destroys the 360 for me. Why should i have to pay to play an xbox online if im already paying for internet to begin with? Ps3 is free, free is never bad. Plus, if you dont want to play online for awhile you dont have to worry about still paying for it on ps3 cuz you dont have to. Everyone, will complain that ps3 dosnt have awards, but those are coming with home..besides Ps3 hasnt even been out for a year yet so the good stuff is gonna be coming around the corner. Plus, ps3 has everything biult inside, no need for accesories like the 360s wifi connector.LAME. that kind of stuff should be inlcuded.packerfan30
