Turn both your consoles on and put the games in, which ever one loads first play that one

I bet the majority of people who say this didn't even play Bayonetta, and just don't want to admit there's a hack/slash game out there that rivals GoW. In any case, TC, play GoW3 first. Bayonetta isn't extremely long (I did my play through in something like 10 hours), but it has a ton of unlockables and if you enjoy the game you're probably going to end up putting even more time into it. So you're better off finishing the GoW story first.God Of War III is much better. Bayonetta is crap.

the only thing Bayonetta may have over GOW3 is the gameplay. That's it!!!!!!![QUOTE="treedoor"]
God of War since Bayonetta is better, and if you play Bayonetta first you wouldn't be able to complete GoW out of sheer boredom.

Thats alot.

Thats a funny joke
bayonetta has much better gameplay than GOW 3, that's not a joke :| GOW 3 is more epic and compelling to play throughout, but Bayonetta just has tons more gameplay intricancies than GOW 3's basically recycled mechanics.God of War since Bayonetta is better, and if you play Bayonetta first you wouldn't be able to complete GoW out of sheer boredom.

 OT: I think you should go with GoW3 first, since that game is more story driven, and does what it does well. Bayonetta is somewhat confusing at first, but you can replay it so many times and it never gets old. You'll probably need 10 playthroughs of Bayo to "complete" it while just one go in GoW3 will be enough.bayonetta b/c it isnt as good as gow 3 so you wont be dissapointed w/ bayonetta if you played it after gow 3
tutt3r
Well, I think you will be strongly disappointed with GoW if you play it right after Bayonetta, so you should probably play it first as a bit of an appetizer before the delicious main course. ;)
GoW III is clearly the better game.
Mestitia
No, it's clearly the better game to you.
Those of us who pay attention to such insignificant features as, oh I don't know, gameplay, prefer Bayonetta.
that's a nice way to put Bayonetta VS GOW3 :P...... anyway i didn't enjoy Bayonetta at all in my first playthrough, it gets better the more you play it, then it gets old not after a long time, took me around 30 hr to satisfy my intrest in the game ........ i didn't play GOW3 but i did play GOW1 andit was fantastic experience, i will go with GOW3 on this one.

either that, or they don't understand how the game works. There's quite a few concepts that aren't explained very well in the game. Skills that take practice to perfect.
One being wicked weave. An essential skill in the harder difficulties (and works extremely well in the lower) that I believe is first introduced in bayonetta (no other games have this type of skill). For those of you that do not understand what wicked weaving is. Basically how bayonetta works is different levels of combo strings. 3, 4, 5, and 6 combo long strings. Wicked weaving allows you to hold down the next button you're about to push in the combo string, and while holding that button you can press the dodge button (right trigger 2) and release the button to continue the combo string. It's a very interesting and hard to learn concept.
that and you also have the ability to jump cancel

Bayonetta, because it's better and much more challenging. the only ones saying otherwise are the cows.

I'll rather play a game with good gameplay, amazing graphics, and a great story, than some game with great gameplay, good graphics, and a non-exsisting story.;)Since you already fell in love with bayonetta then i'd say that.
Both look great though so you can't go wrong!
If you´re a real man go with Bayonetta for the "eye candy",if you know what I mean.... :P
 yeah Kratos in all his muscular glory really doesnt turn my crank! Bayonetta however...... *drools* Er, GoW3 has better eye candy in a couple parts. You get to see more!Boyonetta challenging??!?!?!?!!!!! It's a longer game, sure, but both games was fairly easy. Bayonetta was a great game and had me wowed for the tricks and moves in that game. GOW3 had me wowed by the graphics and sheer brutality in it. Both are great games, but i just enjoyed GOW3 a little more.Bayonetta, because it's better and much more challenging. the only ones saying otherwise are the cows.

Neither game is very challenging on normal (like 90% of games).[QUOTE="ermacness"]Boyonetta challenging??!?!?!?!!!!! It's a longer game, sure, but both games was fairly easy. this made me laugh. so the only thing it does better is the most important aspect of any game? lol
Bayonetta... Since GOW3 is way to epic and it's better to save the best for last.;)
Not saying that Bayonetta isn't as good... Bayonetta is friggin awesome and imo has the better combat.:P

GeOW2 and U2 are 3rd person shooters, they have the same gameplay basics, but they still different ......... Bayonetta has faster, more chatoic gameplay .... that's about .... GOW3 is more about strategy, gore, and huge sense of hit impact ....... they different enough ........ and btw as a gfx whore gfx for me is as important as gameplay.[QUOTE="tagyhag"]but Bayonetta has a decent dodging mechanic, not as bad as some people say :P ...... you will literally dodge almost half of ur gameplay time . You got the games confused brah. :PPlay the one that doesn't have astiff dodging mechanic. :P
