I own all three consoles and i will tell you the order in which i felt they placed.
1. Microsoft: why Microsoft appealed to the hardcore and casual gamer quite effectivly. What also helped them is that microsoft showed all real time footege with games like RE5 Fable and Gears while this sounds like no big deal it shows that microsoft has confidence in there game lineup and they know its going to do well sony didnt show me alot of real time footage which was dissapointing to me. fable was introduced poorly and they didnt show it very well but i still want that game really bad. microsoft also changed there interface one of the things i originaly hated about the system this seems less obtrusive and more userfreindly. lastly they got a huge victory over sony with Final Fantesy. this is a Huge loss to sony because this was one of there few key exclusives needed to acheive market dominance. sony should of done every thing they could have to prevent microsoft from taking it. Xbox made it very clear that they were doing well and one of the ceos said that this generation we will sell more 360's than ps3's a big powerfull statment that will make share holders sleep well tonight.
2. Sony they did there job for the most part as them being the last show of the three i expected them to have a huge suprise to keep my hope in the ps3. there wasnt this suprise MAG sounded cool but it didnt really hype me at all and as a god of war huge fan i wasnt suprised i knew this was going to happen. (I meen seriusly the second one ends in a cliff hanger). Movie service ok kool now my ps3 can do every thing on the surface of the earth except play games. they brought up Killzone 2 so breif even though i know they did show it in extended coverage of E3 but i felt like they realised it might not meet the hype. thats probobly just my parionia. resistance 2 looked cool but it kind of looked like it sufferd from bad lighting issues but i know im going to buy it. they brought up ps2 for quite a while time i personaly thought wsnt well spent. sure the system has sold over 100 million but i really think ps3 needs the time right now cause its strugeling. little big planet looks cool i actualy want to buy it which is weird cause im not a fan of that genre. that DC mmo I think is kindof depresing that this is what sony has us looking forward too+ plus i heard that its marvel counter part was canceld which could meen that the online city of super heroes DC style Could have some issues to work with. overall i was dissapointed at the end i was like ok theres more right. if i was an investor in sony this was totaly innafective they now sony has a put huge money into this product and they didnt say anything convincing correct me if im wrong about beating Xbox in sales like they were at the last E3.
3. nintendo while it might of seemed kind of bised towawrds ps3 im just dissapointed ps3 was the first of the 3 consoles i had bought. Nintendo had been so bad but it met my expectations. as i thought nintendo is making ++++cash and has absoulutly now inscentive besides ++cash to make games. they didnt have alot for the show no big 1st party title like a mario or zelda just animal crossing. the music game dosnt look so awsom it could be tho and it dosnt take control of the new wrist device from what i Hear which makes the drums kind of a flawed desighn. the woman presenting was afull she was scarey looking and she did not connect with any one in the room she often tried to make people laugh and you could hear crickets going off. they did show clone wars but i wanted a jedi lightsaber wii game. the DS anouncement kept the presentation alive GTA for ds could be Cool i dont own a ds its the only one i dont have but the gutair hero looks kind of like it is going to be a pain in the but to play it.
Overall
the only system that made me gain confidence was 360 i really want the ps3 to do well cause some real cool games could come out of its life cycle if there install base increases, as of right now i just dont see it happening. the folks at nintendo i feel are strugeling there way through there HQ and there office rooms overflowed in cash and are trying to make it to there desk to come up with more games. i dont think that the 360 won a huge victory but they did what they had to do i dont hear my self saying o i wish microsoft did this like i am with the other consoles.
Once again im not a fanboy i am a universal gamer i just want good games i will admit that i used to be a ps3 fanboy when it was the only console i owned.
