Well said. I want the creativity and ingenuity of indie games all wrapped up in big budget games that push the limits of what these new consoles can do. Like cainetao said, otherwise why even bother with new hardware

Sorry, but there is a HUGE difference and it amuses me that you believe there isn't. PC doesn't just play games. It does so so so much more. I won't even bother getting into the obvious difference in graphics and physics. But yeah, lets go with your story of "NONE".

You put it even simpler. It is THE reason we buy new consoles isn't it. To see more detailed visuals, more enemies on screen, bigger worlds, truer physics. I enjoy some indies, but my game time is limited now, so I didn't buy a new console to spend the time I have on indies that can run on last gen consoles.
meh. my issue is that companies like Sony can no longer tolerate a game "only" selling a million copies. now it has to sell at least 5 million which is bullshit. I've adored many AAA Sony games that sold only moderately well so I can't say I welcome this recent revelation
Last time I checked, AAA had to do with review scores and not the price it cost to make the game.
really I never knew that I always thought it had to do with production value. Isnt Minecraft like the biggest selling game and that's a indie.
It's PR BS. "AAA" use to be used to describe games with high critical praise. The term slowly morphed into describing games with exorbitant budgets when PR needed to sell more copies and to do so needed a term ensure more pre-orders and make players think they were buying a quality title. Quality slowly turned into Price of Development.
Kudos to Sony for nurturing indies the way the have been... kudos and continue!
Indies are far and away the most exciting thing in gaming right now and I see that creative gap widening over time. I chose ps4 first this gen partially based on indie devs wanting to publish with sony.

And people yoshida is talking about aaa games in general not just sony 1st party's... Bigger gaps between aaa game releases because of cost. Gaps like the one we are having right now with a bunch of aaa games pushed back to 2015.
