Great to see that it ported quite well from the PS2 seeing as I don't own neither a PS2 nor a PS3 and I want to play it a lot.

However, even though I'm getting it, it's a port...>.> Capcom should really consider making fewer spinoffs and ports for the Wii.

anyone who's not played the PS2 version and have a wii should definately check this out

depending on individual preference, this could be better than zelda TP for many people

Okami is great, but it's just that Capcom is mainly seeing the Wii as a dumping ground. Xbox 360 has Dead Rising, Lost Planet and DMC4 while the Wii has an RE4 port, an Okami port and the broken mess that is Zack and Wiki.

I prefer interesting exciting games rather than sloppy seconds.

Xplay probably didn't have the remote set right, or had to much light interference.

Some reviews are okay, but X-Play has out right stated at times their bias so some reviews do end up turning out to be jokes.

I usually don't trust xplay...but it does make me wonder about Okami's controls anyway. I'd feel more comfortable if most gaming sites were in agreement about the controls...but they aren't. Nearly EVERY gaming site agreed that RE4: Wii Edition was the best version because of the excellent controls. With Okami, I keep reading mixed reports...

faithfull port, some dodge issues but paintbrush is much better.

ive got the ps2 version so there is no point in me getting this. i adore this game, looks stunning

i also find it funny that it openly admits getting inspiration from zelda, yet its much better than TP in every way,

It has a better music track, story, and characters....but TP trumps it in terms of level design and combat.

Okami is easily one of the best PS2 games ever created, and I think a Wii Port made an incredible amount of sense. Infact, Okami is pretty much the number 1 game that deserved a port to the Wii.

The reviews I have read claimed the controls were not there for the Wii and the ps2 is the better version.

So bragging about a two year old port of a game that plays better and looks the same on the ps2 is very, very sad sheep.

How so?It says to me that Wii has another AAA,port or not,currently has more AAA titles this year than any other console,and has more AAA exclusives this year than any other console.(And yes,I do think it's exclusive.So sue me.:roll: )

Man, I've been loving this game... FOR TWO YEARS!

I got 30 hours into it but just stopped after the ahem...first big event ends...I was kinda upset that it just sort of keeps on going. Seems like it should've ended there. Ugh...just can't muster up enough power to go back and finish it.

Thats exactly where I stopped playing. I that that was the end, and didnt feel like playing it anymore. Its a good game but maybe to long...

When i was playing Okami on my PS2 maybe you didnt even know this game.

Great game, but when people see that its cheaper on the PS2 they will probably buy that version anyway.

I haven't seen any advertisement for it and like you said its a port that no one has played. Also since GTA 4 and GT5P around I think people who own multiple consoles will probably pass it up.

I thought it was good but a bit overrated, after the first 20 hours I was ready for it to end. It sits collecting dust along with FFXII, also unfinished.

But if the Wii fans are going to try to use this as ownage, thats just grasping for straws. Its a year-and-a-half old game thats been largely unchanged, and the PS2 version is availabe for $10 cheaper. Its as pathetic as the PSP and PS3 fanboys trying to flaunt the ports they used to get on the regular.

Don't get me wrong its a great game, but if someone sees it for cheaper on another console ( one with a higher user base might I add) then they might go with that one.

Its just speculation,( I coulld be wrong who knows) but I don't see strong sells just like the PS2 version.

Good score though. Solid, but it is a port from like a while ago. Very underrated game.

You're bashing him for saying a game that sold like crap the first time released will sell like crap the second time it's released.

He's probably right.

1. This game is a port, and doesn't deserve bragging rights. It does, however, deserve the chance to get some new sales because it is apparently one of the most original and underrated games of all time.

2. While this game is a port, it is still better then most recently released games, so please don't discredit it for its age.

3. I don't like the fact that a reviewer reads our posts, because we may negatively influence his reviews in the future. Also, if he needed any entertainment, he could just post a controversial review to send us into hysterics, which makes us his perfect puppets. It's things like this that make me worry about what I post on this website...

4. All the way back in the thread, somebody called Zack and Wiki "broken", or whatnot. Zack and Wiki is a great adventure game, challenging us with its HirameQ system, making us cry at the cutesy characters, and reminding us that adventure does not deserve to die. Not yet at least. While I almost broke my controller a few times from frustration, and sometimes found that the puzzles were more like trial-and-error, I had to remind myself that it was an adventure game. You can't just rush through the puzzles and hope for the best, you actually have to think, especially in this game. All puzzles (Except the last one) were expertly made, and I often spent many hours trying to find out how I was supposed to get a perfect score. It's also one of the few games that you can play while not really playing it. It will suddenly flash in your head at work, and you will go "Why didn't I try that earlier..." (I actually figured out how to score a perfect on "The Fountain Guardian" by watching the introduction to Crocodile Dundee 2. Good Sequel by the way.). It was just such a great adventure game, and the reduced price made it one mighty fine gem.
