I've been defending the PS3 for a while but now I'm starting to loose my patience. I mean the concel I swore I would never buy again (the 360) I've been actually getting some decent play out of. When square and sega both expressed their concerns with the ps3 and its sales I still tried to stand firm but after a press confereince that basically said they have to start helping devs (who are professionals at making games) and that they are not worried about the present because the system is "future proof." I dont know about anyone else but I'm starting to get worried.

Yup, pretty much. Sony went the "Lets have the most powerful technology" route, whilst forgetting that developers actually need to be able to use it.

I wouldn't be overly concerned about sales at this point. We are only 10 months in and it already has close to 5 million in sales for a system that was essentially $600 most of the time without very many exclusives. The ps3 is going to be around a long time and Sony is going to support it well and reduce prices evey year. A new sku is imminent too.

I would go with your gaming tastes and what you want and need out of a console above all else. Xbox and gamecube owners seemed to be perfectly fine last gen and liked those systems more than the ps2 and were happy.
