Lie, there are over 300 events in GT's campaign mode, from endurance races to other challenges. You unlock more events as you progress..

60 total license test. Then you unlock 40 more.

116 driving missions. Includes 30lap endurance races

82 circuit experience. Self explanitory.

"It does not have that many cars"

True, it has 185 cars, with 500 free dlc cars on the way.

"The track list is small"

17 tracks, 40 layouts, 14 free dlc tracks planned.

"The livery editor is not as good as forza"

Wrong, not only is it more intuitive, but you can use a mouse like photoshop, upload images from the ps4, upload user decals that you or other users made outside of the PS4, paint the "entire" car, ...you can do anything really. "Including sticking your own face on the hood of a laferrari" or your cat..dog..mom..brother..sister...cousin..aunt...uncle

"The cars sound like vaccums"

Lie, GTSport actually sourced audio from turn 10 and sms studios, the audio is remarkably accurate, especially in replay.

You forgot one; you can earn a real life FIA racing license with the game and start racing in real, professional races (once you get hired by a team or come up with your own).

Can you really count the license test as being a major aspect of the single player part? Last i really played GT/Forza all they were were more like a quick time trial. Nothing i really considered to be "major." I wouldnt buy a racing game just for license test.

@Black96Z: you can, but it still takes a long time officially complete the campaign mode, especially if you want all gold. Prize cars etc.

It really does have a campaign mode. It has more than a driving school, it has a mission mode and a circuit mode.

@TorqueHappens08: I've been playing my friends copy, and i am hugely impressed with what is there.

The physics are incredible with my logitech G29, the driving school really helped me get better at racing, and the online really is something special in the way it is pulled off.

Sadly for me, I'm not a hardcore multiplayer racer, so i do miss the classic GT mode experience. Yes there is a lot of single player content, but I miss the single player championships with a nice prize at the end.

Do you have a source for all those free cars and tracks you mentioned?

I love it so far. People need to realize that this isn't a mainline GT game. Not to make an excuse for cut content, but this game is targeting top level competitive players. The focus was on multiplayer to get it out in people's hands, and produce assets to be used in the future.

I love forza too, but there is something about the controls that feel better in GT. I can't explain it.

Hey TC if you enjoy the game don't let that bother you. The game is half baked and has an always on line drm that could be annoying to some but don't let a games score and someone else's opinion upset you.

W/e that campaign is I still rather play the classic one, i.e. unlocking more and more powerfull cars as you win events. The progression of starting with a Ford Focus until ending up with a Ferrari 458 Italia (My personal favorite) was half the fun for me. That effect is lost when you start with relatively powerful cars on the go

Good luck getting what you want out of this game, from what I have read and seen it seems its major thing is the lack of content now, so at least the quality of the core gameplay(the most important aspect) is there. At least you have other racers to supplement your diet, but if you plan on gaming several hours per day with this game it remains to be seen how much meat there currently is to sustain you for longer periods of times. In other words, see how you feel after a month of playing this a lot almost every day for hours.

I think the idea behind the game is pretty cool, but at this point I would wonder if it took them all this time (4 years dev time I read) to come up with this game, you should ask yourself how long before you see more content added. When you look at the release of Forza Horizon 2 and 3, there is only a 2 year difference in release dates yet the difference in content is staggering, FH3 has so much more than 2 and then 2 big expansion packs released within a year of release.

I'd definitely like to try Sport one day see how it feels, it's not the same as watching videos. But I don't feel the need to rush out and play this game now, as a fan of racing games I think with FH3 and Forza 7, and other games like Dirt 4, I have more than enough for my racing needs. But I like the idea of GT sport with the FIA and will continue watching its progress from the sidelines as it evolves and if you are enjoying the game and have a group of people to play it with, that is really all that matters.

The Vr racing makes a real difference, too. I feel bad for listening to haters dump on this game. They were all wrong. Polyphony should have gone ahead and made it a numbered entry.

When Halo 5 came out it caught hell for not having BTB and Firefight at launch. We all knew all DLC was going to be free and these were coming but it didn't stop the backlash at launch. GTS getting free cars and tracks in the future doesn't negate its negatives at launch. Or is it different rules for Sony games?

There was water world, where me and family members would spend the daylight hours. Then motor world for evenings. Driving karts from built for 7-10 year olds right up to F1 for adult drivers.

I drove every level over my life. I haven't played one video game that truly simulated my time in those F1 cars on that track. So when I read "this is a true racing sim" I chuckle. Bulllshit.
