Which of the following games do you think are better? Let's see how the newer games shape up in comparison to the older games.
Metal Gear Solid vs Metal Gear Solid 3 Never played 3 so I can't judge these.
AmyMizuno
Resident Evil 2 vs Resident Evil 4 Never played 4, so I can't judge, but RE2 is my favorite RE game that i have played
Final Fantasy VI vs Final Fantasy XII Never played 12, so again I can't judge, but 6 was good.
Super Mario Bros 3 vs Super Mario Galaxy Never have and never will play SMG (marios is so played out it isn't funny).
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time vs Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Never played TP, so can't judge.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 vs (the new) Sonic the Hedgehog Sonic sucks, so I really don't care.
Grand Theft Auto III vs Grand Theft Auto Um...these are BOTH old games. But GTA 3 is way better.
[QUOTE="Inamon"]Older games are more revolutionary but newer games manage to have more value. Personally, I consider the fifth generation to be the best, which seems to be in the middle of the two...AmyMizunoI agree. I would go as far as to say that the Playstation is the best console ever, but that is beyond the scope of this post. What I don't understand are the people who say the SNES was the best console. Why? I think both the NES and the PS are better than the SNES... maybe even the PS2 and Dreamcast being better.
I totally agree. The N64, PS1, PS2, DS, and maybe even the Genesis all kick the SNES's butt.

The SNES seems to have the most classic, must-play titles out of all the consoles, at least to me. I naturally don't expect everyone to agree with me. Anyway, if I were to bother posting my personal greatest games of all time list, you'll notice that they're all old games, the most recent having been released in 2000-2001. Newer games don't seem to have a certain charm the old ones did, I guess(and, no, it's not nostalgia).
