Phil Harrison has revealed to us, pre-GDC, that Killzone is in it's final stages of development. He also told us that the game will be released this holiday season, but not before an open beta test on the Playstation Network.

"Killzone 2 will lay to waste anything that came before it, and be the game other shooters are compared to for years to come." Well, that's certainly a bold statement, seeing as how Phil Harrison also believes Motorstorm surpassed the target render. Yeah that looks like a bad shot from the Final Fantasy movie.

Even if that was from Killzone, it would be from a CG cutscene and not gameplay as that model is clearly superior to any game models including Fight Night 3 and Crysis. No polygonal edges.
