I would still buy SC2 because,
1. I can run it on my abysmal laptop
2. It's Blizzard!
3. It's not all about graphics....people will never learn.

I would, and will buy both, because Starcraft and DoW are completely different.

1. there is something called settings
2. That makes you a fanboy
3. That's what only people who are deprived of graphics say. If you were right, why did Blizzard even bother improving their graphical engine?
1. Do you think dow 2 will run on pcs as old as starraft even on lowest settings ?
2. That's reasonable expectation from a dev who has delivered nothing but quality titles
3. What if someone who plays almost all games at max, hence not deprived of graphics says the same ?
then you have only one more option get both haha.DoW 2 and SC 2 FTW!!!(I can't choose between the two)

Gameplay wise IMO: COH and Dow >SC and warIII but I like blizzard game for the editors.

I rekon relic makes awasome looking RTS games but map control governing population size is just stupid, most of the games I've had on COH are decided in the first few minute of play. Middle oil point capped+wire+tanktraps+MG and sniper in place locks you out of the oil and all the useful upgrades from then on.
Gameplaywise I still think Starcraft is more fun than Dawn and Coh, just can't get into the whole map control points idea.
Definitely needs moar Tyranids. That and I don't think DoW2 will be as perfectly balanced as SCII. At least PC gamers get both games.foxhound_fox
Are Tyranids confirmed as not being in? That's lame if so. I could understand them not being in before, maybe, because of technological limitations. Like with the hive mind and such. But they should be able to work it in now, no?

are you kidding me ??? i've ranked up to level 7 with the panzer elite and not even one game has panned out like that.HOLY F**K!
*passes out with the sheer RTS awsomeness*
looks good, im realy looking forward to both now

Relic said they werent put in the original because they didnt think the engine would do them justice...since this is a new engine, I presume they will be put in....especially considering how insane COH was.
Does anyone know if it uses the Coh game machanics? i.e the destrucable cover etc. I cant bring myself to play other rts games now, as they are all about pumping out 100 tanks and rushing, or getting to the top tech then nuking etc. Coh is an absolute milestone, and the most important rts since maybe Dune.Bazfrag
it does....there is actually a even bigger focus on squads this time around.

True, that's some really nice eye candy, but Blizzard games were never graphical achievements. That's what's great about Blizzard. Instead of putting their games on an unreachable pedestal of graphical greatness *cough*Crysis*cough* they make their games as accessible as possible to everyone while still being some of the most fun games ever. But I can't choose between which of the two I'll end up loving more in the end. DoW was surprisingly one of the best RTS experiences I've ever had.glitchgeeman
Still that game looks pretty graphic intensive like CoH, heck I can't even run WoW, at a steady 30fps..imma have too download the demo and see how it runs on my laptop, and do a few runs on it before I'd buy it anyways..
I also have been looking at the first DoW game and know I can run it of course, but damn soo much expansions I saw a bundle that came with the first two, and winter assualt (whatever you call it) for i think ~$40 than theirs that other expansion with the girl in the front cover, for another ~$30. The least I can remember when i was walking through the electronic section at walmart. You would think it's about time they came out with a Part 2.
how does it look in motion. The first DoW didn't have the best animations on the planet, but stacraftII's look really good.laughingman42What? Back in 2004 there was no other RTS with animations anywhere near DoW, heck..it still has better animations than Starcraft2
gonna have to agree with you on the rts eye canday... but how dare you shame the starcraft franchise... they should put you to sleep! :evil:Rage010101When did SC become a franchise?
