OMG GT5 is Awesome

first off all this is not a 360 vs ps3 thing.... now to my point

EVERYBODY should try out GT5 even if they don't like driving games. It is one of those games that makes you appreciate the next gen and how far games have come. It's just like gears of war. Even if you don't like shooting games, you should atleast play it once just because it just so freakin beautiful (i know some people disagree but, in my opinion, its one the most beautiful shooting games ever on a console).

Anyway sorry about my rant but i couldn't help it.... and seriously, try the game out

If I knew somebody with a ps3, I'd ask to try out the demo, unfortunately I don't.

However, I doubt I'd like it. I own GT4 and don't play it, and I tried the Forza 2 demo and didn't like it. For some reason, I hate sim racers. They don't give me the sense of speed like arcade racers do. It feels like driving a bus doing 10mph around corners, even if I'm doing 40mph.

Yeah, Sim Racers are a very specific genre, it also takes a long time to get good and actually enjoy it, I for one do enjoy them but I understand others who woulden't as much.

I detest sim racers. I'd play Big Rigs before I's play Gran Turismo.zeldarooles

well you guys haven't been playing many good game lately. standards for you are lower than for the people playing on 360.

again, the cars look great... and the controls/ handling are good now.

the surroundings are bad, the sound is abd (screetching tires....., engines sound fine though), NO DAMAGE,... froza 2 does not have better loking cars, but the rest of forza2 is much better.. i wish i could combine the two games..

I was gonna say "Why? Because it has pretty graphics?" to the bold, but I noticed you answered that quesiton later on in your post.

I'll just scoff at your idea of what "makes you appreciate the next gen and how far games have come". The GT5 demo demo still plays like a last gen racing game.

Well... GTR2 is PC... Which has better sims for anything...

If the A.I. and physics is much improved, this game is the system seller for me...

hey that's not fair.. last week they told there would be no damage (because car companies didn't want that).. .. well, great news.. i really want car damage. it makes everything more believable and immersive. thanks for the link. AND also good news that the braindead A.i., will be improved.

Now they just have to remove the screetching tire sound and make the environments look better. drop the ridiculous 1080p at 60fps and just concentrate on making the game good. 720p is FINE.

I agree, the tire sound really has to be improved and environments, Forza3 wins easily in this two areas. I would also rather have 720p with richer environemnts.
