That's a shame, that list was almost perfect but it had to be ruined by San Andreas, Bioshock, MGS, and God of War, when they could have been easily replaced them with Thief: The Dark Project, Day of the Tentacle, System Shock 2 (Bioshock having a better story? Lol) and Vampire Masquerade: Bloodlines.

I loved the other GOW games because they were just pure fun.

I just hope that this one doesn't have an amazing first level and then the game goes downwards after that. Both GoW games I thought topped out the first level.. which shouldn't happen

As a PS3 exclusive, Heavy Rain will be better. Just stating that since you brought it up. Of course, though, GoWIII will have the hype and love, since it is that kinda title, but I'll take Heavy Rain, Alan Wake, and Halo Reach over GoWIII, although I'll still buy it. It'll be great.

i will prolly go preorder this today to get the demo but im not excited about this series at all... at the end of the day i just don't think being at the top of the heap of "smash buttons and play qte's" genre is a very big deal...

I just literally finished playing the God of War 3 demo just minutes ago and i am speechless! WOW, In my 20 years of gaming (im 25) I have NEVER EVER played anything so epic and just so.. magnificent. As far as single player this game KILLS any game this gen I mean this is what NEXT GEN truely means. I got the demo by simply going to gamestop, pre ordering it and they gave me a voucher code.. I RECCOMEND if you can, go right this second.. yes if you can RIGHT THIS SECOND, pre order it and download it.

I was overwhelmed after playing this demo.. Forget Heavy Rain, Gran Turismo 5, Halo Reach, Alan Wake.. Yes those will be awesome games but God Of War 3 takes gaming to a whole new level in terms of music, atmosphere, jaw dropping graphics, perfect and seamless gameplay.. I guarantee this now that God Of War 3 will win GOTY next year guaranteed and i know you will probably roll your eyes after reading this but if your not truely impressed with this game after playing the demo then you either need help or dont like gaming.

on topic... I expect to thoroughly enjoy GoW, but Starcraft II & Mass Effect 2 will probably be my GOTY, next year.

It's the same demo that was on at E3. Just go watch it. It looks sweet, but it's nowhere near incredibly awesome enough to justify that level of gushing. :|Ninja-Hippo

Well the E3 demo definitely made it look like a crappy Resident Evil game. Until we see other gameplay trailers that show otherwise, I wouldn't hype it too much.

not only StarCraft 2, but I think SW:TOR will do just as well if not better (at least in term of pure profit) comparing to God of War 3.

It has the Star Wars Universe, the KOTOR followers, the Bioware fans, the fact that it's a MMO which comes at the time WOW maybe declining plus the fact it's a sci-fi setting MMO, all these factors may add up and eventually make SWTOR a very well known and successful game.

Alan Wake is the only game I wish was also on PC atm but no way is it THAT higher of a level.. I mean if anything Luigi's Mansion is like the blueprint to that game.:P
