They better have a good create-a-fighter built in. I can't wait to set up the fight of the century: Rex-Kwon-Do vs. Kip "Cage Fighter" Dynamite....IN THE OCTAGON!!!!!
The animations are way too good for it to be actual gameplay... I mean look at the way Chuck's fat moves. You'd have to have 50 motion sensors just for his belly. Seriously.
However, the fact that a UFC game is even in the works has me very excited.

A lot of people are talking about the graphics.... which is in my opinion the dumbest thing to be worring about at this point..... I dont know if anyone else has played an MMA game before, or has ever tried any of it themselves, but from what I have experienced, no game will ever come close to the real thing, simply because its WAY to technical. Striking, fine, theres plenty of good boxing games that could be emulated to make the stand up of this game enjoyable, but the ground game? there is so much to being on the ground its overwhelming, you cant just think "i want to go for a kumura now" and do it, unlike striking its not just hit or miss, there are to many possible counters or things that can go wrong when you try to submit someone, not to mention the thousands of different types of styles used to do so. Personally I will be amazed if they can produce a game that offers a semi-realistic feel, but there is so many things to account for I dont think it can be done.
Visually I woudnt be suprised if that was the actual character models and effects, but Animation wise it seems a bit too smooth to me to be ingame. It could be a leap in animations though so who knows.
Meh, it may look good but it does not excuse the fact that its a UFC game and like the show, it will be an absolute steaming pile of garbage. But then again wrestling and fightinggames in general have been terrible for many years and seem like a waste of money when they are rehashed titles with a few different characters and a few more polygons here and there.
