The original games came out before the movies. Both were excellent. The second one was developed by Monolith Productions (Condemned 1 + 2, No one Lives Forever 1 + 2, FEAR 1 + 2).

Nice! The original is still one of my favorite, and most played, FPS deathmatch experiences out there :) Rebellion rocks... Or at least they did then, and I hope they still do!

Meh, good game, but was a shameless Final Fight clone... And that genre fits the feels of both Aliens and Predator franchises like turn based strategy fits the Gran Tourismo series. Seriously, a Predator that doesn't sneak, doesn't hunt, just runs in the front door killing thousands of aliens until he blows up the queen - paired up with a few humans on the way? It was a good game, but a serious misuse of those franchises. Rebellion, on the other hand, got it right.

I still need to play the original. It was in a lot of magazines I used to buy, but for some reason, I never got around to buying it.

Although I did not like the first game I do love the idea of those two races going at it. I can not wait to see how it looks.

sega is more a mediocor developer in my eyes BUT Valkyria Chronicles looks actually like a good game :)

This sounds interesting. The last A V P i played was on atari jaguar and it was a great game for its time. On the other hand i hated the Alien VS Predator movies :? Lets wait and see

Indeed, and these games are hands down the best shooters i have played in my gaming life, by miles

If they are a next gen version of AVP1-2, i will buy it day one and play it for life, since i still play AVP1

The AVP movies are absolutely terrible. I've heard good things about the games though. I'll keep my eye on this game.

If it's like the 1st 2 PC Alien v.s. Predator games before the AVP movies came out, then it won't suck.

Umm cool I loved the PC games. I didint see anything in what sega said about 360 being first to get it. Only the head liner said 360 first,but if its not coming from segas mouth then I dont tust it.

It doesn't say anything about a Timed Exclusive. Secondly, both AVP games were awesome so I will definitely be interested in a third. The movies would rock if they even slightly followed the games. The movies need to take place in space in the era of the colonial marines just like the games do. The movies have been pure crap whereas the games are just incredible.
